I think Richo can smash Glass in most contests if he plays like last week ;)

Here's hoping that Terry Wallace can pull out some tactics liked the ones he used in the Crows game and you guys smash West Coast this week.

C'mon Richmond, give the Crows something to smile about this week, it's been a bloody tough week ;)

glass has had a good year and is one of the best full-backs in the comp, if not the best, and has had the wood over richo in recent contests. this will be different, richo is in unstoppable form.

Glass ain't that good. He is just aided by a dominant midfield.

Now that's just plain incorrect. Look at last week against Freo, we got belted in the middle, only Cousins plyaed a decent game, yet Pavlich, widely considered as one of the best, if not the best KPP in the game was killed by Glass. Glass beat him 1 on 1, in speed and strength, with Pavlich's two goals coming from when Jaymie Graham was on him.

Fair enough, I didn't see the game so I can't comment. It was just an assumation because having a dominant midfield can often make a defender look better than he really is.

The dominant midfield is irrelevant. Glass still beats his opponent in 1-on-1s a lot more often than not.

It will be a great battle, but I can't see Richo kicking more than 2 or 3 goals.

Not so much irrelevant. The amount of the ball coming down your end plays a massive part because of the number of contests created. When we played against the Saints a month ago, had our midfield lessened the Saints' midfield's impact and forward thrusts, Ray Hall would have had significantly less than ten goals kicked on him by Fraser Gehrig.

Glass might have done marginally better than Hall, but he still would've conceded five goals or so.

I can, he kicked five in one of the games of the year against you boys last year.

Glass has improved a lot since then. He is now our third best player (behind Judd and Cousins) and will probably win the best and fairest. Every week he is left one out with his opponent and every week he wins the battles.

When he played on Gehrig, he made the big ape look stupid everytime the ball went down there. He wouldn't have got 5 goals even with an avalanche of delivery because he just got frustrated at losing every contest and would have been more use on the bench.

Richo and Fev are the two that have the potential to kick a bag against Glass, but IMO he won't.

Big wraps on him, eh? What about Kerr?

Started the year of ok, but then fell away in the middle of the year with many people calling for him to be dropped back to the WAFL for a week to get get a kick up the backside, but was then suspended for one week, came back and dominated for 4 weeks. So while he's been good in parts, he has been no where near as consistant as Cousins of Glass, or Judd for that matter

wires on fire.

take into consideration though that glass plays against tall forwards one on one in open forward lines as a result of the other team flooding, and rarely gets beaten. in the last 5 weeks i cant actually remember him being outmarked one on one.

Richo could still take the most contested marks in the league again this year
He's 2 behind Bradshaw who has 38 and 1 behind Barry Hall who has 37
On a per game basis he is in front by miles.
