Fair enough it was obviously a joke as soon as the thread was opened but i just can't see the point in it if as you say other afl boards were doin it, and i'd seen two other threads much the same on the main board.

If you had seen it on other boards then you would have obviously known that it was a joke GALON. Why must this board be limited to simply pre-match banter between supporters and queries over our players/lauding their good matches?
If you took offence perhaps to a topic like this then I apologize, but I stand by the fact that it was made as a joke and if people aren't open-minded enough to read it as that then I stand by my reasonings for posting it.
The fact is, when i logged onto bigfooty and was looking at the main page i saw that the most recent thread on the hawks board was "Dowler smashes pelvis again". I could've strangled the cat when i read it.
Now to me that wasn't funny, it was serious until i got in here and saw that it was another one of these fake paper clippings.
Joke = done to death = not funny.
That is my point, i'm sure others share my sentiments.
Perhaps it's just my thoughts, or age, or whatever, but I have a damn good sense of humour, and to me this thread just wasn't funny.
