If the Bulldogs lose, and we can edge past the Eagles by 339 points, we're a massive chance to make the finals. :p

Thats only 14.125 goals per quarter, about 1 goal every 127 seconds. I wish you the best of luck. :p

Depends on how much the bulldogs lose by, actually.
If they lost by 1000 points (yes, I know that is stupid), we could probably scrape in with a 1 point win. The point being that there are two sides to the equation, not one.
Our margin doesn't have to be so big as long as the bulldogs lose by a lot
Still won't happen

hmm sure would have helped if we had of had more honourable losses for want of a better description rather than cave into three 20 goal defeats...No excuse for it really, i dont think anyone had more than 3 100 pt+ hidings did they yet we finished 9th...

the main problem with having lots of kids in the side is there are going to be days were they are totally off and get thrashed. you also need to remember that in two of those occasions we had virtually our entire key defense withdraw just before the game.

It wasn't really that, that has cost us the finals it's more the fact we havent put away teams when we've won, remember we've now won 11 games and it could be 12 if we had of put the Lions away and the same with Port, Geelong, Essendon and Carlton it would have been alot better for us,plus you need to remember we lost one game that we should have won which was against Hawthorn.

We beat the Lions twice this year.
The bigger the margin you win by doesn't increase your win tally.
Percentage-wise, we would've benefitted from putting those teams away, which would've made our position a tad higher. But the side is young and inexperienced and was only just finding it's feet at those early stages.
Also should've beaten Freo; we were robbed in that game.
Ultimately, the game that will cost us a finals spot in 2006 is Round 12 against the Hawks.

we should have beaten st kilda in round 2, but injuries robbed us, we should have beaten freo but the umpires robbed us, we should have beated the dogs but bad kicking for goal in the first quarter robbed us. get over it people, most teams lose games they should win from time to time.
This is where the whole draft system stinks. What if, say that all we needed this week was for the Dogs to lose and us to win to get in? With the current system, there is no way on the face on the earth that Essendon will try to win this week. Why would they? Win and give up a pick inside the top 20. Luckily the final eight can't be dislodged this year, but with the current flawed system, it will end up biting the AFL of the bum.

this is why we need to get into a possition where we dont need to rely on other teams losing to get in.

Agreed DT i think next year it shouldn be as much of a problem if we go into the next season like our last month of footy. Its gonna be tough for TW next year with Newman, Coughlan and Browny to come back next year who do we drop from the side that has kicked 21,21 and 20 goals in the last three games. If we do get Polak that would be handy for the simple fact he is a key defender thats what we need someone other than Joel or Razor(prefer him at CHB) to play FB Gas can hold the possi down but i think hes finished unfortunately.

Bit early to get too excited. We don't get to play Brisbane, Carlton and Essendon ever week. It is also the same side that lost by 100 points to the Saints and went 4 consecutive weeks just scraping together 10 goals or less.

back on topic, we could still get in but it would require some freak thing to happen, like extremely high scoring games with us and the bombers and dogs and then the dogs and eagles both having 19 men on the ground with a few minutes to go and getting thier entire scores wiped. should be easy to get a 339 point difference then.

True but the fact of the matter is even tho we only played the bombers lions and blues is that we got it down there quick and scored quick and thats what we need to do against any side we have Richo, Schulz and Staff for one more game down in our f50 other teams dont have the players to cover all 3 of those we got eagles this week they got no one they have a good midfield shut cousins judd and kerr down we will be easy winners we only lost by 2 points last year to them we will beat em this week we are a better side when we play attacking footy than what they are we have forwards of decent quality, they dont we have a defence of decent quality what do they have Wirrapundaetc...... come on boys go out and flog the useless mongrels:thumbsu: (i can not stand west coast)
Next year each team bar eagles should draft a cop to play as a tagger against the eagles and you wont have to worry bot Ben gettting much of the ball.
