I know it's admittedly early, but seeing as the Hawks wont be playing in September this year, this may well be the sporting highlight of the year for mine.
Two teams battling it out in what should be a terrific series - perhaps to (at least statistically), determine the Number 1 Test Team in the world?!!
Are there any other 'cricket buff's here' amongst my fellow Hawk fans?

Ahh bring on beer and cricket.... and sunshine... and girls wearing bugger all walking past the hill at the adelaide oval... and... ahh i should stop there ;)
After last years Ashes, regardless of how good it was for cricket, I want to see a cold brutal mauling of the Poms this time.
I will accept good close matches like last time only on the condition we win or I have a heart surgeon standing by.

Don't mind the ashes series, but in all honesty nothing but nothing compares to the Brown and Gold running around the park.....I hang out all summer to see what the new year brings.....GO HAWKS>>>>
Have to do something in the space after footy...sadly FoxFooty has removed 99% of my post footy watching :(.

To be honest I'm going to be bored sh**less now until next February, waiting with baited breath to see how far up we can go in 2007.
We don't get any cricket coverage here in Thailand, so it's difficult to get too excited.
All the same GO AUSSIES - murder the smug Poms!

Yeah I follow the cricket, I think it's gunna be a good series we are gunna beat them comprehensively. Where have we been playing this winter? Every summer we hear that these guys have a gruelling schedule, I haven't seen any news on the Aussie team for ages. Have they been on holidays for the last few months or something?

live and breathe cricket and honestly believe this series will be a lot closer than people think. If Cosgrove loses some weight, he'll be in the test side within a year.

In case any of you didn't know, I come from an Indian background, so i've grown up with a cricket bat in one hand from the age of 2. ;)
Can't wait for the series - just hoping we'll see a great battle rather than a one sided affair. :thumbsu:

LOL, not what you've got in mind Gary. :D
Langer to tear it up in his final series!
oh no
The one thing i hate about the off season is the cricket. So boring
Last run: 14 minutes
wtf am i watching? at least in AFL if theres no goal for 14 minutes there is SOME action to speak of. Not one man repetatively bowling at another man.
*yawn*
I find it really hard to get excited about something that doesnt get decided for like 3 days. Its like turn based games on the computer
We'll mark you down as 'Not a fan' then?

Are they playing the 20/20s this season ?
We will retain the ashes and keep them for 18 years or so as your aging side is really struggling for any decent youth at the moment

Excellent, we now have an English fan amongst us. ;)
This should definitely promote some 'heated' arguement come late November. Ah, the smell of the newly mown grass, the temperatures beginning to rise into their late 20's (global warming aside) ... its beginning to feel like Cricket season again!
