I have heard a rumour one of hte expansion teams going to be set up (either West Sydney or Gold Coast at this stage) is going to be titled the Marton Pike Football club.
Sounds a little odd I know, but the reasoning behind it is actually quite sound:
1. Martin Pike will be coach, captain and CEO. All boardroom discussions will be handled via headbutt.
2. Having a high profile thug who drinks too much and headbutts people will help blur the lines between AFL and Rugby league, hopefully swindling a few rugby fans into accidentally ending up at the footy.
3. The club has already won as many premierships than St Kilda, Fremantle, Geelong, Western Bulldogs and Port Adelaide combined. And all this ebfore ever being established as an actual football club (sort of like when Port fans claim premierships from 400 BC)
