The Weagles won't want to lose this one. If the Crows were to win the Weagles will run the risk of a rematch against Freo and lose their home ground advantage. Hope we smash 'em and set up the first western derby finals match and payback for the 2 point loss last year.
WC will not want to loose 2 games in a row leading into the finals.
WC would like to finish 1st and exploit their home ground advantage not play Fremantle in wk1 of the finals.
WC needs a solid win at the MCG. Only played their once this year with an unconvincing 10 point win to the Hawks.
Richmond is farewelling Stafford and Chaffey.
If selected Kelleway will be playing like he's at draft camp.
TW has gone on record as saying that they want to close the year and walk into pre-season on a high.
Finish on a high and you create priceless momentum for 2007 membership.Definately not a dead rubber.

:) A TIGERS win would create a somewhat bizarre circumstance. I doubt if that any other year would the two sides which finish 1 and 2 at the end of the minor round (in this case West Coast and Adelaide) be entering the finals on the back of such ordinary form.
This finals race is wide open. Would not surprise to see a team which finishes sixth to eighth climb to a grand final berth.
One feels Collingwood are the obvious weak link and the Bulldogs couldn't win it (but could advbance to week 2 if they play the Pies), but uncertain what th erest are capable of!

yeah its a pity we didnt make it, might have done some damage, but at least its open enough to be good viewing this year.

Had we squeaked 8th with the Pies - finals biatches for the big cat - in 5th we would have had a run at the thing but it wasn't to be.
How often has a team won 12 and not made finals?

Previous to the derby last week, West Coast were on a 4 game winning streak against. We were the ones to officially spank Adelaide by 14 goals when they looked invincible and before their injuries. Then backed that up by beating Saints in Victoria by 6 goals. Killed brisbane by 10 goals with Judd and Kerr only getting 14 possies between them.
How quickly some people forget.
Big deal... you're only as good as your last game champ!
Remember last years game... was ****ing quality. Judd turned on a clinic, was great to watch. If only we had have beaten Hawthorn, this could have been an awesome last game.

That'd be because West Coast are infinitely forgettable outside the microcosm that is WA. That goes for the Shockers too. ;)

Officially? Gave you a bonus point did they. Jot down the result in a special column out past W-L-D?

Eagles - 64 - 116%
Crows - 60 - 141%
Dees - 54 - 114%
Swans - 52 - 124%
Pies - 52 - 117%
Saints - 52 - 116%
Freo - 52 - 105%
Dogs - 48 - 106%
Tigs - 48 - 90%

Even so Turtle, we still wouldn't make it and this is where the current draft-pick system shytes me. No way in the world will Essendon beat Bulldogs so if the above scenario were true, we still wouldn't make it, and that's with 13 wins.
Bombers will not want to win this week. Full stop end of story. Why throw away a priority pick No 18 that will probably net them Akermanis and still leave them with pick No 2 and 20?
Bulldogs basically have a bye this week as we did last week.

3 times so far... Ourselves twice and Hawthorn once! I put a post up the other day with the years involved!

Incorrect
At Home 9 - 12. The 3 Losses being Freo, Bulldogs, Freo
Away 7 - 9. The 2 Losses being Port and Coll
I think you will find that the Dockers are also fairly good outside W.Athese days

Bah hambug. Those novelty venues don't count.
WCE 2 wins ,2 losses in Melbourne.
Freo 2 wins, 2 losses in Melbourne.
That is what we talk about when we talk about being relevant, games in Melbourne where proper football teams are based.;)
