Whats happening with Enron and the fallout caused by its demise. Maybe the US is distracted by the continuing war on terrorism and the axis of evil.

A more likely scenario is that Kenneth Lay/Enron was happily making campaign contributions to both sides of the political divide, everyones hands are dirty so nobody is interested in investigating too much.:o

Its a pity there won't be a detailed investigation. I reckon it the truth would make an interesting tale. The close association between the current US gov and the Oil/Energy industry is scary, such a close association must have some impact on their foreign policy. Not to mention the dodgy accounting and Enron share trading by boards members as the company was in its death throws.

Does anyone else find the Enron thing a bit of a worry?

Thats as maybe but everyone knows the lefties waste much more money, and can't be trusted in government. Just as government can't be trusted to operate utilities.

Time taken for nationalisation/socialism to fall out of favour - 30yrs
Time taken for privatisation/capitalism to fall out of favour - 30 yrs

What is the next cycle ?
