He is a Melbourne boy and was an Essendon supporter as a kid and I've got close sources that tell me he is keen to return home.
The Bombers have offered him a two year deal whilst the Lions only a one year deal and whilst he has finally settled in at Brisbane, he likes the idea of returning home to Melbourne and playing for Essendon and more reassurance (contract).
He is an underrated player, would be a great get for the Bombers IMO.

I've also heard from a realiable sourece that Michael doesn't want to return home because his whole family goes for Essendon. Although, i don't believe that, i think he just wants to stay in Brisbane. Apparently he has signed a contract but its meant to be kept confindential.

Wouldn't you sign up your future captain first?
I've heard he's staying and agreed in principle.
I'm surprised Brisbane only offered him a one year deal. Gives us another opportunity to go after him at the end of next season I suppose. :p

He is an underrated player.
Not really. He's just considered to be a young up and coming player with promise.

He's slightly above that, not only young but wins the ball quie a bit, uses it well and runs hard

Brisbane have got the same worry with Rischitelli i have if we get Bryce Gibbs. Stays for a few years and then wants to return home.

If Rischitelli wanted to come home he would have done it by now, takes a strong character to dismiss the gome home factor and stay interstate and stay loyal to the club that drafts you
