Rather similar players for mine, who do you think will be the better player down the track?

It's a close one, but I pick Tambo.

Fool. Wells has got better every year. Tambling has looked out of place for two years. You want a gauge? Compare Tamblings first two years with those of Wells.

fool, how is somebody a fool for having a different opinion to you?
And BTW the first couple of years of a players career isnt a very good way to gauge a career, especially someone like Tambling who was injured for most of his first year and pre-season. Fool:thumbsu:

Compare Tambling this year with Wells this year - how many more years in the system has Wells been? :)

I've admittedly been one of Tamblings biggest critics on these forums (see most Buddy vs Bling thread ;)), but i've seen a hell of alot in Tamblings last few games to suggest that he'll be a very, very good player.

Supposedly, Wells racked up 29 disposals in the Roos match vs Hawthorn. Unfortunately, I didn't notice a single one of them (bar him kicking it out of bounds on the full from 30m on a slight angle) ...

Wells gets tagged most games, and still averaged about 20 disposals a game this year

Pretty good for a 21 year old

Yeh no doubt.

This is a poll to question who will be a better player down the track. FFS, fans need to stop being so precious when one of their own is compared less favourably to a similar sort of player from another club. I'm sure Wells will also be a good player, but I just think Tambling will be better.

Hmm I reckon Eddie Betts will be better then Tambling, but not up in the same league as Wells.
Tamblings stats every week make for unimpressive reading, plus don't forget Wells has been injured all year and he finished 3rd in North's B&F.

Yes wells has been in the system for more years, thats why i said to gauge the comparison on both players first two years. Oh and you didnt notice Wells in the hawthorn game? There wasnt all that many highlights in that game, i mean who was B.O.G? Brad Sewell? Yeah, he was significantly better... :rolleyes:

Did you also fail to notice Wells in the North Vs Hawthorn game in round 6? Oh you did? So you missed all those lace out passes to thommo? That goal straight out of the centre from 50? Hmmm, lets not let naivety stand in the way of the facts.

yeah the fact is that you can't compare wells and tambling on their first 2 years fairly because tambling was injured for most of his first year and missed a fair chuk of pre-season this year:rolleyes:

And you are sugggesting Wells hasnt had his injury problems? In his second year, he carried an injury for most of the year but Wells had a superior season.

:rolleyes: did it stop wells from playing thogh? Tambling would start to get some touch then get injured right away in his forst year, he missed some of the pre-season, to think that Wells' injury problems are compareable is laughable

I wish I could see what you see. I see us getting very burnt form buddy in the years to come.

Tambling will never be a star. He has been a big dissapointment since Day 1. He'll be traded by End of 2008 to Hawthorn

If he is so bad, then why would Hawthorn accept him in a trade?

I guess that means Kangaroos don't have any really good players.

Guys like Richo, J.Bowden and Coughlan finish high in ours where as guys like Adam Simpson finish high in yours.

Richo = Legend
J.Bowden = Auto AA selection.
Coughlan = Gun

Adam Simpson = Player who wants to get traded by people who support the Kangas.

Tambling will meet and excede anything that Wells does.

Joel Bowden is a joke of a footballer, no defensive abiliies and collects cheap ball on his own in the back 50.

Brent Harvey at hs best is easily better than Joel. Way more effective.

Coughlan? 1 good year? will never be the same again. Cannot kick and is too slow.

Wrong. Wrong. Wrong.

Joel Bowden is a great defender and has pretty much every game this year stopped the man he has been on, and considering the fact that he isn't our main defender he has done a brilliant job.
He was never ment to be a man-on-man defender he is a player like Chad Cornes, David Mundy, Heath Shaw and nobody says they are jokes of players, he has had to play a different style this year due to so many injuries coming to our backmen.

Brent Harvey better than Bowden. Ha what a joke.
Bowden creates play off the backline sets up options creates so many options around the ground and because of one game where he got a lot of uncontested ball(Adelaide) he is labled a player who gets cheap possies.
The difference with Harvey and Bowden is that Bowden will go after a ball to create play where as a player like Harvey will wait for it to come to him to get it.

Coughlan is a fantastic play and up until his injury this year he was returning to his carrer best form with matches like Freo(35 Possesions) and games of 27 and 23 possesions before that, and was averaging 20.2 possies per game.
You say he has had one good year, yet last year he had a carrer high 38 possies against Carlton.
He disposes of the ball beautifully everytime he gets it so you absolutley cannot say he can't kick.

If you ever doubt if Tambling is any good, look no further then the person who said this:
Tambling will never be a star. He has been a big dissapointment since Day 1. He'll be traded by End of 2008 to Hawthorn
You now realise how wrong you are when you discover you share an opinion with him:D

Adam Simpson - dual Premiership player.

Richo - over-rated, under-achieving showpony.
J.Bowden - made to look good by the mediocrity around him.
Coughlan - talented, shown signs but has never really done anything.

When any of those boys have put their bodies on the line in a finals seires, then you can talk about Simmo. Until then, be silent.

pfft....saying betts is even close to getting as good as tambling will be is laughable! betts has shown little patches but at this stage tambling has shown heaps more and will continue to do so!

How much have you watched Joel this year, I have seen every game this year and know that he has played brilliantly.
