Who will turn out to be the better player.
Both were taken in the 2004 draft.
One didn't play football until he was 15 and was drafted at pick 58 and the other was a highly coveted junior taken with prized number 2 pick.
Moran is my tip.

For the record, Roughead also didn't start playing football until he was 15.
Different players for different positions.
Moran has impressed given his background. Could well be a handy mobile ruck player in the years to come.
You'd expect Roughead to be ahead and he is. Will do some big damage to defences in future when he settles in the forward line and realises his strength.
Roughead for mine, but I am biased.

Didn't Roughie also only start playing when he was 15/16?
Roughead for me, but Moran has shown a bit in his past few games. A long way to go still for the Englishman ;).

Roughead, who has impressed me. Moran was great on debut (only game I've seen him play) but it's probably still way too early to make a definitve answer.

Roughead - He'll be a very good player.
Moran might be better than expected, but I don't think he'll pass Roughead.

Both, then trade one for Matthew Scarlett

Its too early to say on Moran. Looks good so far, but only a couple of games at the top level.
I hope Moran, I want to believe Moran, but Roughead (why doesn't Thurgood have that name?) is going to be good.

Roughead. And so he should. They are not really in competition as the Hawks used pick 2 on Roughead and so should expect a very good player, which they will get. Moran was taken at pick 58 purely as a project player. It looks like he will become a good senior player. And good on him.
The Kangaroos got a player that should push their best 22 next year, and with a pick 58. Thats a bonus.

north supporters cannot help themselves can they? they will clutch at anything to try and take the **** out of the hawks.
Roughead is going to be awesome, and you cannot compare him to a player who has played two games, his debut in a game where HIS team got not one effective contested ball, and very few on HIS touches were contested, and the few that were - ineffective.
Shows hwo much influence the media has on them.

A Wells v Tambling poll could be seen as even more ludicrous. I didn't see you mention anything in that poll.
Moran looks like exceeding expectations whereas Roughead has dissapointed.

Oh I see what this is about now. :D
I actually thought this was a serious poll for a second. Now that we've established that it's not,
Wells is a dud. Jordan Lewis greater than Wells.
Biggest waste of a pick in Norths history.
Roughead > Any young KPP playing for North Melbourne.
Stats prove it all. :)

if you havent realised, i have not been on big footy since late may/early june. Roughead has not had the publicity hype of many other draftees in recent years. It is publicty which effects people's perception of players, take out the media and i garuntee many supporters would suddenly have very different opinions, even if they will not admit they are influenced by the bias scum that patroll our media.

It's obvious to see that you are a serial pest. Take your garbage to bay 13 and stay out of this poll.

It's obvious you started this thread in retaliation to the Wells vs Tambling thread.
At least that was a reasonable comparison, but you can't compare a 2nd game player to a 2nd year player. :D :thumbsu:

Most other people have taken this thread seriously just like myself. I have reported your rude, trolling behaviour. Hopefully you will get banned.
Hence why Roughead has 82% of the vote.....
I'm guessing the other 2 who voted for Moran were doing it as a joke.

Don't get all patriarchal now. You clearly indicated earlier how you set up this thread as a knee-jerk reaction to the Tambling v Wells thread.
You post tripe like,
Moran looks like exceeding expectations whereas Roughead has dissapointed.
... and you expect to be taken 'seriously'?
Grow up spud. :)
I'm sick of the Kangaroos always comparing their kids etc. with ours.
Just admit we are a better club in every facet.
Should have made this a public poll....
Been really impressed with the rate of Moran's development but would still have to go with Roughhead.
Josh Kennedy > Roughead > Moran

spot on, kennedy has been injured all yr, and 3 weeks ago started playing for sandy dragons again, and has 3 b.o.g's to his name. but no body is going to complain about us getting him father-son as hawkins is getting the spotlight:D
"Wells is a dud. Jordan Lewis greater than Wells."
Bwahahahaahahaahahahahaha. Oh im almost in tears. Are you really that biased and ignorant my friend? Wells tore you a new a$$hole when we played you the first time around this year. He has improved his game every year, and is thrice the player of Lewis who cant even get a game in a team where the only pre requisite is youth.
Roughead > Any young KPP playing for North Melbourne.

Stats prove it all? Compare Wells and Lewis stastically then.. Oh and for the record, the statement is correct. Until after the years draft. :)

mate, lets compare them season by season ok? you said yourself that wells improves every year. so if you looked at the averages of wells first 2 seasons to lewis' you would be plesently surprised.

As you rightly pointed out, Lewis has been struggling to make the team yet he still averages better than Wells. :D

At last, you've seen the light. :)
What's with North supporters comparing their players to others in a desperate effort to salvage some pride that their core of a team is league standard?
Moran is a ruckman. RUCKMAN. Roughead is a KEY POSITION PLAYER. Roughead plays his position better than Moran plays his, and so he should. At pick 2, you would hope for Roughead to be good, but at pick 58, the fact that Moran is playing well is at his stage a bonus.
Bit hard to judge a guy who has only played 2 games of afl. Looked good against the hawks but north supporters think we are **** so that performance can't count for much.
Would be better to wait until this time next year to get a better look at moran.
north supporters cannot help themselves can they? they will clutch at anything to try and take the **** out of the hawks.
Just waiting for mark73 and roosurgence to start spreading their bull**** about how roughie has no heart and is a dud. Just wait it will come.
