For much more interest and hype, WC should play Freo next week in a knockout, and Melbourne should play a VIC team at the MCG in a knockout, it really wouldn't make any difference as they are still knock-out Semis.
This will finally give an MCG final and surely that would fill up 90,000
The subiaco final derby would sell out also.
The AFL should change the rules on these rare occasions!

Why not bend the rules a bit further and let Essendon and Carlton play the Grand Final. It would generate a lot more hype than 2 interstate teams, that's for sure.
It really wouldn't make any difference because it's still football

That is the most ridicilous thing I have ever read on BigFooty. The two victorian teams didnt earn the right to play in melbourne, and neither should they play there. Both games at Subiaco, all the way.
