Please choose between his re-released 1980's original "Stand by your man" or his new smash hit revival of the Neil Sedaka classic "Oh Caro".

To help you choose here are the main lyrics:-

Stand by your man(dedicated to Denis)

Sometimes its hard to be an old woman
Giving all your love to just one man
You'll have bad times
And he'll have good times
Doing things that you don't understand

Stand by your man
Give him two arms to cling to
And something warm to come to
When nights are cold and lonely
Stand by your man
And tell the world you love him
Keep giving all the love you can
Stand by your man

But if you love him you'll forgive him
Even though he's hard to understand
And if you love him
Oh be proud of him
Cause after all he's just the man

Oh Caro

Oh! Caro, I am but a fool,
Darling I love you tho' you treat me cruel,
You hurt me and you made me cry
But if you leave me I will surely die.

Darling there will never be another
Cause I love you so,
don't ever leave me,
Say you'll never go
I will always want you for my sweetheart
No matter what you do
Oh! Caro, I'm so in love with you.

Oh, Caro...
Darling..

Stephen Kernahan's real greatest hit was on the 1985 SANFL Grand Final, Glenelg vs North. He was on fire (as always) at CHF, the CHB for North (David Wildy) had thrown one about 5 minutes before.

The game was all over, the ball came down to CHF, Wildy led Kerna's to the ball. Kernahan punched at the ball, and only missed by 2 metres.

Result, David Wildy having a mini-snooze, Glenelg easily won the grand final, Kernahan NOT reported, and $100,000 extra on Sticks contract the next year @ Carlton :)

The good old days back in SA when you could get away with just about anything.
