Someone told him some ripper porkies...Wait...I'm feeling just a tiny tiny bit sorry for him, I must be coming down with something

He'll never, ever be part of a premiership now. It's his own fault for making a bad choice to join the team of chokers.

That's a bit harsh. If Nathan sees that he'll think he's wasted his career.:(

Much better targets than Buckley, one of the genuine legends of the game.

I still chuckle over little jokes like this, as wrong as it is :P

Just think, Nathan wisely turned down the opportunity to join North in the early 1990's because of his desire for premiership success.

He truly is a visionairy and Collingwood would do well to employ him as coach the day he retires as his strategic nous is unmatched.

He signed with North, too, poor bugger.

Will be one of those unfortunate souls who is given the 'Great player, but ...' prefixes.

Seems like a top fella, too.

Can you imagine the 90s with Figjam and the Duck on the same side?

No, it'd be an equal result = no Premierships.

Lets not forget that he cited the same reason for not joining Port in 97

Smart move, considering he wanted to get paid, have a club, have modern facilities, have a supporter base (not a smart one, mind you), facilities that wouldn't get burned down by disgruntled fans......I think you get the drift....

Buckley coulda returned to the club where he learnt his trade, Port Adelaide. The Power wanted him to come to Port, and be the inaurgural captain. But already having the Collingwood scum in him, he declined.

Too bad, he woulda a premiership medal around his neck.

One thing is for sure, if he'd gone to Hawthorn, not only would he still have no flags, but he'd be clinically depressed from having to engage types like you at club functions.
