Would like to hear what other pies fans think we need after getting belted by the bulldogs , what picks do we have and would we trade or just go for the kids?

You need to pick kids or experienced players who have experienced success in September.

Its the only way to end the Collywobbles curse.

We have a lot of very good young players coming up in next three years. They are not ready to be the flagbearers yet. We need at least 2 fast midfielders with 2-3 years behind then in the 22-24 year mould. A proepr big ruckman and that's all.

No point looking at the Tigers list then i guess.

Truth is we need talls, mids, and a tap ruckman. But we won't be able to solve all these deficiencies in one draft.

I'd aim for a hard, inside mid in the first round, a versatile tall in the second round, and a project ruck/forward in the third round, as a rough guide.

Can anyone clarify for me which number pick the pies will now get in the draft?

Will we have pick 12 for finishing 5th or pick 10 for being the highest ranked loser of the elimination final? Or even pick 9 for possibly losing enough percentage to go underneath St Kilda?

St Kilda 9
Collingwood 10

Best available regardless of position. Get picky in the later rounds.

If i were Collingwood, i would be looking at (if they are still around)
Jetta, Collard, or Selwood, or even maybe Albert Proud.
Maybe Sellar might be still around, and they could take him

They should then get a KPP they can work with for a few years (Ben Reid, Nathan Brown)

Yep spot on. Priority is a gun midfielder with first pick.

Also, before anyone points it out... i know Sellar is not a midfielder, but he would be good for Collingwood, whether he will be tall enough to be a genuine ruckman AFl ruckman i don't know, but he may be a handy CHF or CHB

Roden will probably be delisted no? Hartigan would be ok and Coughlin is worth a punt. Is he really that injury prone?

Coughlan will not be considered AT ALL for trading.
