both selected at #1 in the last two drafts. who would you rather in your team at the moment and who do you think has the better future?
for me its deledio hands down. lots will say this is a biast opinion but deledio has the explosive pace that murphy doesnt and is taller and better overhead. Both have very good skills.

Deledios had the extra year so he has proved more.
Murphy had an amaizng start to his carear and looks like to have a great future.
To early to tell for me

yeah I agree it still probably is too early...just seeing who people think will have a better future.

Havent we had this poll before??
FFIW deledio is more of an athlete, murphy is more of a footballer. I think Lids eye catching style will push him ahead of murphy.

Murphy for what we need.
Both will be great players, though.

Only voted Deledio since hes had more senior experience.
Murphy's first year was mad though :thumbsu:
always right

A better comparison from the same draft would be Deledio versus Griffen. In their first year Deledio deserved to be rated higher. In my view Griffen's overtaken him. Watching him last Sunday, he simply dared the Collingwood blokes to tackle him.
Both are obviously very good, although different types of players. Deledio strength is his straight line speed over 100m. Murph has more natural talent and better refined skills. Murph has a freaky ability to read the unfolding of play, and has superior skill execution, especially when delivering to the forward 50. :)

Cant believe I am going to be pro-Carlton, but I would take Murphy ahead of Deledio any day
Deledio hasnt done much to excite me, and I have seen him play plenty of times. He is supposed to be one of the qucikest in the AFL, but he rarely uses his pace and isnt damaging at all
Murphy reminds me of Ben Cousins
Deledio reminds me of Andrew Embley
So while Deledio will be very good, Murphy will be a superstar

Griffen craps on Deledio, it is no contest

@always right, I don't agree with that statement, The griff will be a jet, huge fan but his 2nd season hasn't been spectacular, he's had some very quiet ones as well as some dirty days, people tend to forget the previous 22 weeks and remember the last start. When Lids was moved to the HBF away from the hard tag he showed plenty of poise and how much easier it is for the young guys to play HBF rather than in the guts
Both Marc and Lids will serve their clubs very well

no doubt they r botha gonna be stars - but i think deledio has more potential to play extra positions than murphy
