I had block 128 but screwed up my credit card details and got crashed out of the system trying to fix it. After 15 mins of refreshing I managed to get 106.

Got through on the ticketmaster website only to have it crash just as I was confirming the tickets at about 10:02. Managed to get 2 tickets in block 100 about half an hour later.

Can't wait for friday!

This basically confirms it that ticketmaster regard the in the open seats on the wings/half forward better than the undercover seats. Either that or blocks 300-307 and 348-353 have been reserved for the club/AFL/Melb supporters.

Now where is that long range forecast...
Thursday Fine. Min 7 Max 23
Friday Fine. Min 9 Max 22
Saturday Fine. Min 9 Max 22
Sunday Shower or two. Min 10 Max 21
Well that makes me feel better!

Got through on the phone only to find out you couldn't request specific seats. Ended up with seats in 346. Thats a long way from our usual seats in 124. Never mind just as long as we are there. Bring it on !!

I went and joined a line at Murdoch Uni for about 1/2 an hour after I could not get on the TM website. It looked like about a 2 hour wait in the line, so I went home, and got on the website again All good, have tickets in block 152.

I got 2 tickets over the phone a half hour ago. Block 320. I'm not too happy happy with them. Would've preferred my normal seats closer to the action. Anybody know what the view is like from the nosebleeds?

Got to the TM outlet in Mandurah at 8am to find I was about the 50th in line. Some been there since 3.30am!!
Harbour Masters went on sale AN HOUR AFTER they were supposed to!!!! So instead of selling to us at 10am the HMs' had to go first...Grrr!
Eventually walked out at 11.45am with 4 tickets in block 120 right on the fence, not too bad. Would have preferred my original seats in block 101 in row G but I'm just glad to be at the game. Anyone here sitting in my seats?

Incidently, the line had to snake around 2 old ladies in their budgie costumes who had already camped up for their tickets tomorrow.....GO DOGGIES!!!!

Got mine at the oval, no problems there. By the time I collected my tickets the line was just about diminished at 11am.

Also saw an Eagles fan and Bulldogs fan there to collect tickets for their game on Saturday. Can somebody tell them to read the paper and/or use the AFL site?.

I rang up during my morning tea break at 10.45am, got through on about the 4th attempt, waited for about 15 minutes on hold, and got Block 152. I'm normally in 153 so was happy with that. Then there was some minor stuff up, and in the 15 seconds it took for the girl to get it sorted while she undid and then re-did the booking, those seats were snapped up by soneone else. So I got 105, row FF I think. That's fine with me! :)

Sounds like 90% are happy with the tickets and no dramas getting them. Gee WCE members seem to complain about it every finals. Their turn tomorrow.

Can you help me before I give away half of my tickets? Is 349 Row A seat 1 best or is 349 Row A seat 8 closer to the bar?

Cheers

There seem to be a few people who say things like;

''Why can't we just get 'our' seats in the finals?"

The reason;

Finals tickets are allocated to each club depending on their membership, and apart from being played at a home ground, are not the same as a home game. Both teams are thereby given a fair opportunity for their members to get to the game. Otherwise, if we were playing the Eagles in a final this year, their members would buy all the tickets in "their" seats, and we'd be watching at home.

We didn't get home from Adelaide until midnight, last night. I really thought we would have a tougher time getting tickets. I booked online and was pretty pleased with the choices.

We ended up just getting budget seats...thought they looked a bit better than the Premium seats on offer, and saved a bit of $$$ Block 217. We are normally block 137.

Great work Azza!

I just got 5 tix in a 3 and 2 in 337 and 335. Suprisingly ok tickets for general public I thought. Usually in the bowells of the 416 ish.

Hope the sun is not to bad:) should be HUGE!!!

Have you check the eBay.com.au site yet? The tix for the tickets for Friday/Saturday night games are ready there! Geez, it didn't take long!

Anyways, ended up getting tickets in BLOCK-104 after 30mins of refreshing and then guess what - my damn Opera browser wanted to download some web.dll file? strange.... of course i did and it didn't do anything. something strange as i purchased my members tickets using Opera.

I used FireFox this time and it took me another 25mins to get back in and I was hoping to get the BLOCK-104 ROW MM Seats 20/21 again, after a few "look for tickets" I was offered the same BLOCK/SEATS and then guess what! I ended up getting this weird error when trying to pay for the tickets, somethng about DLL or error with profile..something like that.

Shutdown FF and used IE and after an hour finally got in and tried and tried to get those Premium seating - so I ended up accepting BLOCK-335 ROW-L Seats1/2 [ahhhhhhhh] and you wouldn't believe it. IE wouldn't allow me to continue making payment after I entered my security code. I tried again after being dumped back to the TM screen stating it was "busy" - go in after 15mins and did another search and was offered the same BLOCK and same seats, while I was also trying the phone [however phone offered Block-317:I didn't know it was all automated these days as I was hoping to speak to someone to get those BLOCK104 or 335] - dumped the phone and continued to purchase via TM7 website and was SUCCESSFUL this time :D TFFT!

Freo better win :^)

I'm a bit peeved to see that when I asked about seats in or near my regular seats in block 101 they said that they would be well and truly gone. Ended up on the other side of the ground in block 120 instead. Seeing that some people have got seats around my original block a day later it shows that it pays to ask them to try, don't just take their word. Bugger!

must add that:

1) my mac browser was quite awful with TicketMaster. All the buttons were ?? so you had to guess what meant what and it took forever.

2) With thousands of tickets left, and I got mine at 1:30pm, I struggle to believe that in the whole ground they could not get me 5 tickets together! Or was there a 4 ticket limit I wonder?

Rob
14 Sep 2006, 01:14
4 ticket limit. If you wanted more together you needed to show up to an outlet with a mate.
