Good Effort Scotty...
Thought NLM might have polled a little better.
Amazing turn-around for Watson.
Hopefully the AFL Staff/Trainers Award is code for the cya later award :)

Happy with all those results except for the one Bolts got! (That is a bad sign that he might stay!)
Well done Scotty- deserved it but Jobe was always a close second. Surprised NLM and Hille did not get more votes than JJ

Yeah - it's horrible Bolton won an award.
He may train his ass off every week. Be a good clubman. Popular with the staff. But he don't deserve nothing. He can't play football. That's all this football club is about. Ability on the field.

Anyone else surprised by Andrew Welsh's 5th placing. Shows how much more highly regarded around the club he is than by supporter's, especially most on Bigfooty.

Welshy deserved it, he was solid and consistent all year, the staff know a hell of a lot more than all of us

I wouldn't be so sure about that, Blumfield and Danny Jacobs also won that award and we know what happened to them.

I'm suprised, I thought he'd finish 6th ;)
He's had a good year, does his job most weeks. He's a better footballer than a lot give him credit for.

How was the night Longy? How many Carlton Draughts you manage to polish off?
Congrats to all. Of the important awards, all are fair and deserving recipients.

You may want blood but you need a SOUL.

I think that's a bit unfair and although it is time for him to move on he has also played some reasonable football at times.
Not sure how much you have had to do with sporting clubs, but it's not only about ability on the field, although that is the most important factor obviously

Welsh's position in the BNF didn't really suprise me. Played nearly every game and gets the footy on a consistent basis. What suprises me is the amount of Welsh bashing that goes on. It drives me nuts reading all the posts suggesting we should trade or delist him. Welsh is probably the shining light from our 1999-2001 drafts and from all reports is a great mentor for any rookies that come to the club. He has to be part of the clubs long term plans.
I'm suprised, I thought he'd finish 6th ;)

Agree 100%.

Really good results all round. Well done to scotty. In relation to welsh, I like him and think he is pretty good but I'd like to see him do more with his disposal. He gets a lot of cheap possies in the backline, if he could start being more effective in terms of rebounding and giving us a bit of run from down back he could be really good

Surprised McVeigh wasn't a lot higher.

what happened to best 1st yr player? turned in to rising star?
Was a very good night at the Palladium. Lucas was a very worthy winner. Well done to Jobe and Fletch for pushing him all the way.
Was good fun chatting to a few of the players as well. Jason Winderlich is a fantastic bloke. Great value.

Does anyone know if Bradly might be being traded after Sheedy's speach on Wed night? Saying that we could be delisting up to 8 players and trades maybe on the cards and then Bradly's name came up. What are your thoughts ?
Well deserved by Scotty. I wouldve been happy with either him, Fletch, Jobe or Spike.
On a lighter note, Ricky Dysons date/missus looked quality! I'm not surprised he left pretty much straight after it finished. :thumbsu:
He might only have had half an hour left :p

mcveighs and mcphees are the best
She's an F1 grid girl I'm led to believe Jaymin.
That would not surprise me at all. If McVeighs was the one i'm thinking of she was top quality as well.
There was another girl that could quite possibly have been McPhees g/f wearing a Judd's g/fs brownlow like dress.
Jordan Doering won the 'Drunkest Player Alive' award. He was quite amsuing. Who was the player with his arm in a sling?
