Like that other promo saying the Eagles are premiership favourties and they will be there for every game while there was no mention of the Dockers at all.

channel 10 has been calling WC "our Eagles" all season. Every time I see it I think (or scream at the tv), "not *&^%ing mine". Funny, as I write this the "biggest game so far" ad came on. AAAARGH!

I admit it annoyed me a little bit.

But I then reminded myself that this is another example of the disparity perpetrated by the WA media- to engage an eagles supporter in your content, you need only soothingly inform them on the most surficial level that everything is OK and they will win, whilst to engage a fremantle supporter you must offer up a snide backhander about losing or run a "Connolly contract extension" no-story on the back page of the paper the morning before our biggest match ever.

Let's see what they come up with tomorrow.

On fox footy they said we were feral and the some dees coach guy said that we turn on our own players when we get behind:confused: I think they have mixed us up with the wet toasters.

Maybe its because we are dissappointed but still happy after a loss.Wet toasters cant stand to lose and stay upset until they win again.just look at the flack woosha has got for a 1 point loss against a team who could go all the way again.

It isn't only on tv that the Eagles get all the focus. I like to keep up to date with news and events from my state of origin so I listen to 6PR all the time and it's always Eagles this and Eagles that, Eagles Eagles Eagles.

Don't get me wrong. I love the big birds but for me the anchors tie (with Melbourne) in a very close second and I'd love to see more positive focus on them.

Its the order of nature.

We will grow and become more successful over time. But until we are successful consistently week in and week out and expectations are met as a rule rather than as a surprise and I dare say winning a Cup we will always be viewed here in WA as the Weezils poorer cousins.

The eagles are viewed as the best chance to achieve success here in WA. They are larger financially and more successful too.

Far more of the movers and shakers align themselves with the Eagles even if they dont really follow footy - not that thats what I\we want but it breeds an air of success and achievement and respect for the Weezils and organisation.

YouTube has a size/time limits [100megs/10mins] whereas Metacafe just has a size limit, being under 100megs. The quality isn't the best as expected due to compression but still viewable :^) Its the full last quarter.

I'm not realistically entertaining the thought that Freo could make it that far, but if it did happen we'd be rank outsiders despite the fact we've beaten the Weagles 3 times this year.
