Not sure of the extent but does this change things? Watched him a couple of times and he has superb skills & speed for a big guy. The only nagging feeling I have about him is he reminds me of Mark Bolton :thumbsd: .
Hope he doesn't turn out like him!!!

I hope this drops him a few spots in the draft, Hawks can pick him up!

Could definitely happen, regardless of the injury.

Will not be attending draft camp I can tell you that, im good mates with him, came and seen me friday night and I can tell you I dont think this injury will affect his chances a great deal he has had clubs interested in him for years and those clubs have only confirmed their interest this year so I don't think he will be 2 worried although I would love to see him fall to Collingwood at pick 10

Why so?
Wouldn't that be considered a rather daft judgement call by him or is there another reason?

Because of his ankle injury?

The Tassie kids invited to DC had some pre DC testing done last week and were also interveiwed by a large contingent of Recruiters. Doubt Thorpe being out will have the slightest effect on where he will go.

injury update: Apparently its just ankle tendon strains and he may able to play grandfinal in 2 weeks with a bit of luck

Mark Bolton?! Try Reiwoldt/Pavlich. If we weren't in such need for a homerun selection with pick one, I'd love to take the punt on Thorp. Has the athleticism of Reiwoldt with fantastic field kicking, slight question on intensity imho.

Hence the Bolton quote, seen him play a few times and he does have the goods trust me and I would love him at the Blues as well. When it comes to afl level those who really make it have intensity in spades.
The tassie kid who will really make it is reiwoldt, great skills and really has some attitude out on the field. Can play forward or back but more suited forward. Seriously hope he drops to 17/19 but i severly doubt it :(
Good news for Thorp if its only a sprain to!!!

confirmed only a sprain, initially thought to be broken but was cleared of that the talk is around 3 weeks for him, so he will be right for draft camp apologies

broke his ankle what a joke! did nothing of the sort and there was never any suggestion he broke his ankle clearly a irresponsible thing to post on a board viewed by so many. and yes it is true that he has been named in the bombers side for this week unsure if he will play though but clearly will be up and about in the next few weeks. no structural damage and as soon as soreness and swelling goes down will be right.
clearly a worthless thread that would not be required if people would put some fact in there posts/threads.

i don't think his injury is too serious, i saw him training last night at aurora and he's been named at centre half back, so his draft chances havent been affected at all and they probably wouldn't have been anyway,as it was only going to sideline him for 2-3 weeks in the first place.i've had a tendon strain and it doesnt take that long to get back to exercising and competing.
