Hrrm definitely need to take it up a notch to defeat Sydney.
Happy with the win, not overly impressed with how we played.

Good at setting up play but was beaten by his opponent. Was about our only win for the night.

5: H.Black (brilliant, stats are irrelevant these days but he uses his so well and most of them cause damage)
4: Sandilands ( we dominated the clearances, our weakness all year and his ruckwork tonight was fantastic)
3: Hayden (back to his best , gives us that run out of the backline and despite conceding a couple of goals had the better of davey)
2: Bell ( don't know if it was a Connolly masterstroke or a blue by daniher but Bruce had zero influence on the game)
1: Schammer ( one of his better games, disposal's still erratic but it was allright tonight)
No Passengers except for maybe Dessie, the Dee's were not bad but as we have been doing lately is running over teams at Subi ,it felt a bit like last week but in reverse, we were holding the dam wall in a bit last week while they wasted scoring shots but i got the sense it was the Dees who were in that position tonight.
Keep remembering a comment by Gerard Healy earlier in the year claiming we were a running team that didnt run, it isnt the case now.

There were question marks over Mundy and Schammer's ability to handle the intensity of finals footy last week. Both were very good tonight, well done.

Schammer was the player who lifted the side in the second quarter and lifted the whole side up to that intensity. However he never have seen the ball without the influence of big Learch.

If only Schammer wasnt benched for the majority of the 1st and 3rd quarters. He would have racked up 35 touches.
Kapow's right. He single handily thrashed the Demons in that 2nd quarter. Was involved in just about every goal.
He's always going to have clangers when he's attacking by receiving and running.

Black - best raking left foot in the AFL
Sandy - can any so called AA ruckman in the AFL and all Aust. team beat him?....nope
Schammer -- it sure was schammer time last night, the way he moves in congested traffic is unreal.
Mundy -- Back to his best form ,ran the lines all night
Hayden -- quick silver, also back to his form of yester year, fantastic effort and was too clever for davies.

5. Blackie - Outstanding for the second week in a row.
4. 211 - Domination
3. Scham - Best game from him so far.
2. Murph - Tough to come back after injury straight into a final and have an influence.
1. Hayden - Started to find his feet early in second quarter and his finals confidence grew from then on.
5 - Sandi - Jeff White, was he even out there?
4 - Blackie, Buddy!!!
3 - Matty Carr was good on Maclean and put him under offensive pressure.
2 - Rodger Hayden - Aaron Davey showed a distinct reluctance to chase him forward.
1 - Schammer, well done!!
Honourable mention to Brad Miller for the Demons who ran his arse off and never gave up.

Picked pav because of the impact he had even when double teamed most of the game.johnson left his man to take telling marks and set up attacks.Could of had other players in there but i thought these had more influence.Good to see everyone go hard the whole game with no passengers, thats 11weeks in a row now for that.
