CC said on the radio that he got the call late in the game that he was right to go back on but decided to keep him off just in case.

What was the deal with him?
He seemed to be struggling!

Twisted his ankle in a marking duel with Nietz early in the 4th quarter. Other than that I thought he did a pretty good job on Neanderthalz.

Except for the 50mtr brain fade that caused a giveaway goal he varied between reasonable and very good.
I'd give him a 7.9 which could have been more if he hadn't came off.

Team should stay unchanged.
Polak, Grover and and one of Duffield/Thornton/Medhurst/Browne/Drum/Gilmore/Walker as the emergencies.

That's great news on McPharlin!
Good to see you have reduced the 3 emergencies to just 9 names Kenny. ;)

It's not my fault we have 31 fit, healthy and talented individuals at our disposal ;)
to be honest we don't need him. gives away too many free kicks and hasn't learnt to keep his hands off his opponents back

I disagree, he is the perfect player to take on big fullforwards.
Neitz, Hall, Lynch.. he matches them well.

CC moving him back to the backline has been one of the keys to the teams improvement midway through the year. His run out of the backline and marking down back is very important to Freo's chances

My sentiments exactly.
One of our 5 best/most important players.

The Worst had him lowest in player ratings. Jeez Neitz kicked three goals. One because Elvis had a brain fade. One good (lucky) from a pocket. So I reckon Elvis did a pretty good job.
The thing which no one has mentioned is when Elvis went off, Parker picked Neitz up. FFS Parker never getting an AA is a complete injustice.

Who'll get B.Hall? Surely if McPharlap isn't right you'd put Magic on him - wouldn't ya?
Who'll get Goodes? Doddy?
Johnson on BBBH would be the greatest mismatch since Neesham put Dan Parker on Carey. McPharlin must get Hall, i'd probably start with Parker on O'Loughlin and Dodd on O'Keefe. Johnson has to play floating defender.
I think the media's been bloody harsh on McPharlin, both eagles daily and the Grimes rated his game very poorly, yet he kept Neitz to 3 goals, 1 being a riparse snap, another being a 50m kick from close to the boundary and the other from a bullsh*t 50m that would never have happened if arseclown of the year Goldspink didn't set the mark 5m closer to goal from where it was actually taken.
Could easily have kept his opponent to a goal or less.

I think Johnson would be more agile than Hall. We know he's a big lad, just doesn't have the pace like Magic. He'd be able to get infront of Hall with no probs. I agree with the O'Loughlin and O'Keef match ups tho.
I think McPharlap did enough to help his team mates, can't see why the media is giving him a bad run.
Goldspock *****s me to tears - I rank him up [or down if ya like] there with Kennedy.
I think Johnson would be more agile than Hall.
Magic is not strong enough , Yet.
Brad Miller gave him the run around.
Macpharlap is the man.

On the replay goldspink says he asked him four times to move back and you can see him move back each time till he says its fifty. Most times you see a player not quite back where the ump says but they let it go.

Yep the West got stuck into Elvis, didn't think he was that bad or Neitz that good. I went away from the game happy with Elvis's contribution.
I think the West's journos may have been in the corporate areas and might have downed more than a shandy or two, as their vision was obviously clouded.

who do we put in for Pharlap? Grover or Polak?

Grover is also a unlikely starter it seems. Either him or Polak. I doubt your lot would win without McPharlin. His form in the past 2 months has been the reason for your success.
McPharlin and Parker not on the plane. Catching another flight apparently.
McPharlin didn't train Tuesday but is expected to train on Thursday.

Probably just wanted to give him business class.

Yep after all those years Parker does deserve to fly business class.
As for Elvis, he can sit on the wing, the rarified air would help his body recover ......

I prefer him up the back, with an occassional foray forward, but he should stay away from those peanuts.
