A mate of mine came up with the following idea.
Given most of us will probably miss out on the opportunity to get Grand Final tickets, should the Crows make it, why not show it live on the big screen at Adelaide Oval for many of us to congregate in 1 place?
Could have a gold coin donation for entry say towards the McGuiness-McDermott foundation & have the SACA catering including open up the their bars (which should easily cover any costs).
Would be a great atmosphere & then hopefully we can all head out on the town after to celebrate.

Good idea (should we be lucky enough to get that far), similar thing happened in 1997 at Wayville with the big screen set-up, and 1998 at the crows shed... Adelaide Oval would be a great venue to host such an even though (if necessary :confused: )

Damn right they should, but our Adelaide City Council is a bunch of useless, pompous knobs.
You'd think the Crows would use the shed...but Adelaide Oval could attract more people.

It is a good idea. They did this for the Italy game in the World Cup but they banned alcohol.
If they are to show the grand final they must sell reebs!!

and I found 50 bucks there!!! That was a lot of money as an 11 year old. I thought I was rich! I am only a silver member, but should we make it past next week, that Monday morning, by boss can get f**ked. I am going for GF tickets. He had the nerve to ask me if I could work on GF day (its only morning, like 4-11.30am) coz he has a wedding to go to where he is best man. I told him to stick it, he knows I go to every home game, and some interstate games. Weddings on GF day shoud be outlawed. It is a religious day for many people, and the government should recognise AFL as this countries religion :thumbsu: !!!
Sounds like a great idea. I will even be in Adelaide for this event.

Assuming they screen the AFL grand final at the Adelaide Oval wouldn’t it be logical to suggest that the after party (or commiseration) celebrations be held at the same venue?
Sunday the 1st of October will be the SANFL preliminary final day and isn’t the preliminary final played at the Adelaide Oval?
The more logical lace would be to erect a super screen at showground’s and keep the party going all day Saturday and then following in on to Sunday.

Weddings on GF day shoud be outlawed. It is a religious day for many people, and the government should recognise AFL as this countries religion :thumbsu: !!!My mate originally scheduled his wedding on GF day a few years ago, that was of course until I informed them the GF was that day and so they postponed it a week :thumbsu:
