wat would u guys trade for them
browny- 24 years old - 150 games former number 5 pick
Big, can play forward and back well...kicks good on both sides.
sinclair-one of the best for the roos this year.
is hard rakes up the possesions, can kick well - great at setting up play from the backline

I would give my 2nd round pick and brennon or boyle for Brown... he w9ould be awesome in our back line. Though am still too hesitant to give up pick 6. Maybe a deal with Everitt, Swans and you kangas.

because we need some more picks in the draft and they are great trade bait
weve got lots of flankers and talls so we can afford to lose them

Leigh Brown is playing a game that is far too quick for him. He has the turning circle of semi-trailor and does not have the courage to have an impact (ie break packs up forward).
Jess Sinclair, yeah is worth something, but you get much this year other than than a player from another club. Trade him with your 3rd rounder for someone like James Kelly from Geelong.
my thoughts only... but Brown is rubbish

i dunno, i would maybe discribe them a tad different.............
browny - 24 years old - slow, struggled to get a game with a side that finished 3rd bottom this year. kicking weak, marking ok, but is slow at best.
sinclair - 28 years old  designated kicker.
really doubt they would be worth much on the open market at all.

Dont teach you two too read do they?
I said the same "role" i never said that sinclair was a better player. They play that quarter back role racking up alot of cheap possessions, so you cant exactly ridicule sinclair for "designated kicker" when your username-sake plays exactly the same role

That's Sinclair at his peak, Hodge will only get better when he gets better and his side get's better. Hodge is six years younger, yet is better.
In another two years, Hodge will get 25-6 poss each game and Sinclair 20-1. Their careers are certainly going in different directions.

Um why? You Hawk's supporters are so disrespectful! What the **** has Hodge done that shows he doesnt deserve to tie the bootlaces of Sinclair?
He did sweet bugger all for 3 years after getting drafted, and has had two solid years? Jess is now a 10 year veteran, who has been a very consistent performer over a long period of time, Hodge has dominated in a side that has sat cellar dwellers for the majority of his career? Hodge also has the advantage of playing in a side that has a more possesion type game.

WE have plenty of talls besides the ones you have mentioned;(Perry & Chad Jones)
Moran 200cm, Hale 200cm, McIntosh 203cm, Hutchnson 196cm;
Also if you consider Lecras as being tall at 189cm, why not also Schwarze who stands at the same height as the Frenchman?

I agree, unless a very good trade deal can be arranged. However, 2007 must be the year he finally delivers on his potential. His worst game in2006 was deplorable, but his best game was servicable. he rounded out the last 3 games of the year with solid contributions and he must deliver that standard for 22 games in 2007.
I would much rather prefer to see Brown and Sinclair stay on and Perry, Trotter, Urch and Grima step up to good, consistent senior football. 2007 is going to be a very pivotal year for the NMFC.

McIntosh, Hamish 203cm 108kg

Hay, Jonathan 194cm 93kg
Thompson, Nathan 194cm 100kg

if your counting Le Cras at 6"3 as a tall then:

Firrito, Michael 190cm 95kg
Schwarze, Ben 190cm 90kg
Gibson, Joshua 189cm 95kg
McConnell, Daniel 189cm 88kg
Are all around his size,
And Pratt is our cover for Archer anyways, he had a very good season.
Pratt, Daniel 185cm 90kg
Archer, Glenn 182cm 91kg
Thats a bit more than 3 blokes, and we will be adding a 6"5 93kg Gumbleton or Hansen to that list.

I think Nathan Jones and your first rounder would suffice.
However, clubs nearly never get rid of young marquee players.

Mostly just speculation fuelled by the fact that dees really need some speedy outside mids. But its mostly just wishful thinking, because as you said, north would definitely not want to get rid of him, unless of course he gave them no other option.Speaking fo which, is he still contracted? And if so, how much longer has he got to? In terms of the trade, i dont think the dees would be willing to part with jones either, simply because we're trying to build up our youth brigade at the moment. Would a trade involving yze or wheatley and some picks be any possibility?

Melbourne dont need rucks urgently at all, we have jamar and paul johnson to back up white, both are more than adequate, and neaves who is developing nicely on our rookie list. We were just unlucky that jamar and pj were both injured at the same time when we needed them last fri nite. What we need is a pacey midfielder and a KPP. Wouldnt mind Wells at all, doubt the roos will give him up however.

Thank god you are not invloved with the recruiting down at the club.
Are you being serious? Walker for Sinclair? Please tell me you are joking :o
Sinclair is getting on a bit, being 28-so that already means he is becoming slower, and will only have a few years left. Andrew Walker is barely 21, and has shown enough to suggest he will be a much better player than Sinclair.
Sinclair is a reasonable player, but there is no way in hell that Carlton would do this trade-quite possibly one of the stupidest trade ideas I have EVER heard.

U tool, ur getting a super quick star mid fielder with one of the best ruck prospects (of which melb are fkd) in the competition for a fringe mid field hff and a gun in and under midfielder- then pik 10 for 20.
I wouldnt really wan2 trade hale think he will be a gun in 2 yrs or wells, but if melb wanted a massive flag chance in the next 2 years theyd have it with white hale in the ruck and bruce wells green mcdonald mid field
actually were prob beta keepin ha;e wells and build a team round em, but I do think Mclean will win a Chas in the next 3 yrs.
First of all, while i rate Hale quite highly, dees don't need any more ruckmen, we have two good prospects in jamar and johnson who just happened to get injured at the wrong time of year this year. And I thought your original trade meant that we would give up pick 10 for 20??
But you're right about mclean, except the chas will be coming next year:p

I think it's HILARIOUS:D:D:D. They traded away all their decent picks for HACKS, and now look at what they are doing. Sinclair, Brown, Grant? They are trying to get other clubs to do exactly what they did- trade picks away for hacks and old blokes past it. (Sinclair, Brown- hacks, Grant- old bloke, good player, but past it). Who's next, Brent Harvey?
WONT WORK ROOS FANS- OTHER CLUBS ARE NOT AS STUPID AS YOU.
Sorry, to all other supporters who had to read (well you didnt have to) that rant, but these supporters with their rose coloured glasses need a proverbial punch in the face to wake them up.
You stupid stupid man
CARLTON have pikd up and delisted about 15 RE cycled duds and lost wells and goddard.
YEAH those stupid roos! damn it.
We traded away some piks for hay and that didint work out so were stupid????
It was one trade.
we actually gained 2 piks to TAKE rawlings. all this stupid team talk is CRAP.
BTW last years draft so far has shown Fk all really so if marc murphy is the best player and he was number 1 we havnt missed too much.
