See the park in the middle? On the right hand side of it, cutting an "L" shape into the park, there is a white blob, which is our building.
hmmmmm..... I don't know about "enjoy". I lived in Port Augusta from the age of 2 to 16 (1974-1988), and I think in those years to some extent it doesn't matter where you live. I liked camping in the Flinders and getting over to Streaky Bay fishing but I guess you could do that from many places. What I value about growing up in Port Augusta is that you meet all sorts of people, mostly genuine hard working "normal" sort of people. I now work in a big multi-national with lots of suits, ties, private schools etc and there are many people there who I am sure have never really met anyone from the "bottom" 90% of the socio economic community.I worked in "The Gutter" for about 5 years. Used to drink at the Flinders.
Did you go to Port Augusta Secondary, or Caritas, or what?

The entrance to the estate runs off Marshall Road and Bellefin Dr... Just before we left they were building a new shopping centre not far from there.......Think it was going to be Woolworths. Its the Glenview Market Place.

We built the second house in the street. Was nice and close to the primary school.
Mum and I will get back there one day to check it out now.

I went to Augusta Park Primary and Augusta Park High School, which I think then merged with Port Augusta High School sometime after I left. I lived in Port Augusta from 1974-1988....left at the end of year 11.

You didn't happen to go to North Haven PS and/or Taperoo HS, did you?
I grew up just around the corner in Osborne (the small sliver of Osborne going down to the beach between North Haven and Taperoo).

Yes I did go to North Haven PS & I also went to Taperoo (Ocean View College)
I used to live about 4 streets away from North Haven PS.

Only been living in Salisbury East for 3 years, it is not bad except for the ferals either side of us :D
