I think the form guide is pretty accurate as Goody had a real hot patch in the middle of the year but was rather quiet on each end. I'm expecting both Mcleod and Edwards to poll a lot higher though.

I reckon Mcleod might be a smokey to win it.

I thought the same before injury particularily if Goodwin continues his streak of being unnoticed by the men in white. Mcleod is a ball carrier with a big reputation and in his more average seasons he usually polls well above the amount of votes awarded to him here.

Freddy could be worth 10 bucks IMO.

For some reason Goody doesn't poll well......:(

I'll be very surprised if a Crow figures in the top 3.

IMO, Burton will lead our votes at the half-way mark, though is ineligible.

I would be tickled pink if Freddy won it but traditionally he isn’t a vote getter in theses awards.

r+\0\0\0\0GPam votes which may not be enough for Adelaide to win the most club votes for 2006.

Those people betting on this should be careful.

2000 Essendon 116 votes
1991 Geelong 103 votes
2004 Brisbane 102 votes
1989 Hawthorn 101 votes

and so the list goes on for another fifteen years, down to:

1985 Essendon 94 votes.

Last year, Adelaide had the most team votes with 92, to the West Coast's 90.

Hmmm... maybe 88 votes will get Adelaide over the line again this year.

It's a $1.80 bet at the moment.

Some of these seem strange to me, such as Roo getting the 3 against Essendon, when Hentschel kicked 8 goals.

Roo had 30 plus possesions and kicked 3 or more himself.

Easily BOG for me :thumbsu:

Agree

With out taking anything away from Trent Hentschel that night, a few of his goals not all that spectacular but he should still get 1 or 2 votes.

I remember Roos game was good, but really, in that game possession counts werent the best way to tell the best player. We had it just about all game. 8 goals stands out to me as a great effort, even though it was a thrashing, because its rare a player kicks that amount for the Crows. The only time this year a player achieved that for us wasnt it?

As someone whos umpired a fair share of matches, i have to say that Umpires when giving votes do notice someone who kicks a hell of a lot of goals. Once you get over about 6 goals, you start to pencil them in for the 3. That he did kick a few in a row in the last, in a burst, might even help, as its towards the end of the game that you start thinking about votes, atleast i do.

If you think Roo was best on field, so be it, you can have your opinion, and ill respect it for what thats worth. I dont agree it would be easily though.
