Oh When the Saints

The St. Kilda Football Club is going to redevelop the Moorabbin/Linton St. Area, as many of you already know. The club is going to return tens of acres of space to public parkland, and construct a Lexus Centre-esque facility for use by the whole community.
Only trouble is: A ego-driven counsellor wants to oppose the development. We need to ensure that the financial future of the St. Kilda FC is secured.

There is a meeting tonight for ALL Saints members & supporters:
St Kilda Football Club invites all members and supporters to attend the Moorabbin Redevelopment Public Meeting, this Wednesday 20th September at Kingston City Hall, 979 Nepean Highway, Moorabbin at 7.30pm.
Officers from the City of Kingston and representative from St Kilda Football Club will be in attendance, to give the public a clearer understanding of what the Moorabbin redevelopment will involve.

Please turn up and SHOW your SUPPORT for the redevelopment, and ensure the future of the St. Kilda FC is secured.

Please Read - If You Can't Make the Meeting

Please print one of the forms below. No stamp is required. All you have to do is fill out your name and suburb and send it off to the club. It shows your support for the Moorabbin redevelopment.

Form:

What about us interstaters ?
Does our distant location invalidate our approval ?

Or internationalists?

Actually, will send it from my Melbourne address.

Let us know the outcome of the meeting. I thought it was "in the bag"?

Good thread.

I don't think it would matter where you live. They certainly haven't specified that in the material they've sent us.

I don't know where we'll be if this redevelopment isn't approved.

It's quite amazing really. Aside from the footy club, it's a massive boost for the local community. And it's under threat because they'll lose some of the old car park.

I live on the other side of Melbourne and I'll be sending it in.

Local Council trying to screw STKFC (http://www.saintsational.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=24047&sid=c286a615a966556bbc5f739bf57f59f1)

went shocking for us in my opinon the local residents were digging there foot in at us every oportunity they got.

someone said that they have seen children climbing the roof of the grandstand and that it is very unsafe.

from what i gathered there is alot of unhappy residents who will do all they can to see this doesn't go through.

in the next couple of days go to the city of kingston website where all the questions and answers will be posted.

doesn't look good though.
