View Full Version : How's Aaron Rogers Looking
I played a game against him a couple of years ago up here in Sydney in an under 16 semi final, and ever since then i've been convinced he can make into the big time, so it was no suprise to me when he got drafted within the top 30.
How's he looking down there?? did he play on the weekend?? What chances does he have of getting a run this year?? how's his knee holding up, no trouble with it??

Aaron Rogers didn't play for the Demons on Friday night. He played in an intra club match for Melbourne's VFL partner Sandringham on Friday afternoon. There are some comments about Aaron's effort in that game written at Demonland - the address is http://www.demonland.com/Sandringham.htm#Spunjy
Perhaps you could elaborate further as the comments suggest Aaron is slightly uncomfortable in contested marking.
I saw his intra club performance for the Demons close to a fortnight ago, and then he showed promise in that. He might be a rough show for a pre-season game in the next two weeks, especially if the team performs like they did the other night.
As for his chances of senior selection in 2002, I guess we never quite know until he performs under serious match conditions. I doubt he will play seniors this year. Although I must admit, he is quite a solidly built guy for someone who just turned 18. As far as his knee goes, I wasn't aware that anything was wrong with it. Has he had major trouble with it in the past?

That article was fantastic! I enjoyed reading about all the players, especially about Clarky! :)
Aaron Rogers looks pretty good, from what I've seen him do at training he defenetly has potential (and yeah I think I'm talking about the right one... lol :D). Anyways I doubt he'll get a proper game with Melbourne this year.... but than again its footy... anything can happen! :D

I dont think he has had any major problems with it, but the times i've seen him play, he has a knee brace on, and i think he missed a bit of last year. I think its more a niggling problem than anything.

I've heard some good things about Rogers this season. I think he got in the way a little in that intra club match, a little too much tall timber in the same goalsquare :).

As a bulldog fan I am mighty unhappy we gave you our pick 26 so you could secure him coz we should have used that pick on him. I actually picked him in the Bigfooty draft at no.42. Anyway I'll be keen to hear progress reports on him coz I think he'll make it.

From people with mental problems who ordered me to stop talking to Robbo or they will kill me. This one girl told me she knows where I lived and I ignored it but then she actually emailed me my address and I got really spooked. It was none of my friends or anyone who I gave my address too so yeah I blocked them etc... but I still got about 5 emails a day telling me if I don't stop talking to him they will kill me.
