Fact:Port have held discussions with Miller, plus Brennan and Thurgood may be worth another go at other clubs.

Fact Or Fiction:Jordan Lewis will have 8 games of 30+ possesions in 07?

Fact: 3 will be at Box Hill after getting dropped for a hodgey-esque incident after his 21st in april, will then go nuts and rip it up 2nd half of the year coming 4th in our b & f.

F or F: if dawson doesn't become a viable option at FullBack there is still a spot for him on our list in another possie

Fact: He showed in his two games in 05' he can play as a very mobile defender, so perhaps theres a spot for him in the pockets.

Fact or Fiction: Ben Dixon can again kick around 40 goals for the Hawks?

Fact or Fiction: Ben Dixon can again kick around 40 goals for the Hawks?

Absolutely if we can keep a similar type of open forward set up next year.

F or F: In 2008, the quality of our young ruckmen in bailey and ??????? will see bob campbell not playing in the ruck, rather becoming one of the most dominating kpp in the AFL

Fact: I'm being a bit optimistic here but I think this will happen especially if we get Leuenberger. Robbie Campbell could become our fullback.

F or F: A victorian team will make the top for next year?

Fiction: (Assuming your meaning the premiership). No, West Coast will do it back-to-back. Bulldogs and Geelong to give a serious scare though.

Fact or Fiction: Hawks will win 75% of their Tasmanian games.

Fact:I wouldnt say were developing "tonnes" I think Dawson and Gilham are only serious options next season. Its obvious were trying to develop a forward line consisting of Roughead, Franklin and Dowler. The problem is only Hansen, Thorpe and Gumbleton have played down back. Both Gumby and Hansen will be gone by the time pick 6 will come around so are only hope is by snagging Thorpe.

Fact Or Fiction: Hawthorn should of only had 2 games at Tasmania this year and had 2 extra home games at MCG?

Fiction: It has the potential to be a huge boon for us. It's by far and away the most successful interstate experiment (compared to Canberra and the like). Less Telstra Dome would have been more beneficial than less games at Tasmania:

Fact or Fiction There are players at Hawthorn who are past it and don't know when to let go.

Fiction: I assume you mean Smith, Dixon and V'berg. All have something to offer at least 2007 and Maybe 2008. All would be great leaders around the club.

FACT or FICTION

There has been a massive over recaction to Hawthorns 2007 draw. It's not the end of the world as it's been portrayed?

Fact or Fiction: Dowler to be the long-term answer to Hawk fans prayers at Full-Forward?[/quote]

Fact, Dowler will dominate FF position, and most teams will have trouble finding talls for dowler, franklin and roughy. Williams / crawlford will kick 85 between them, when the big men bring the ball to ground.
Go Dowler.

Hawthorn will make a profit next year, not counting the Tasmanian Government sponsership money?

[B]Fact or fiction:

Fact I think we have had consistant profits for numerous years and I dont think much will change. Membership should increase, and hopefully members will stay reliable to the club and turn up to our home MCG games

Fact or Fiction: Luke Hodge will contend top 5 for the brownlow in 07?

Ok, I'll make a question:

Fact or Fiction:

Since it is looking likely that we may get Sellar in the draft, do you think he has the potential to be as good, if not better than the talls that are tipped to go before him?

deano the hawka
19 Nov 2006, 19:16
Well...Sellar seems to have put on 6 of the 8 kg lost during the championships, so i would have expected him to go to top four, and looking at the features, Mitch Thorp looks worse than Sellar. It is like getting a top 3 pick with a top 6 pick :thumbsu: ...

Soz guys...don't have questiones

Add on the fact Sellar was touted as a number 1 pick earlier this year.

Fact or Fiction; Jack Riewoldt will slide down past the 1st round?

Fact or Fiction; Jack Riewoldt will slide down past the 1st round?

Fiction: There is still some hype around Riewoldt amongst teams, unlike at Big Footy where his seemed to slip in peoples thoughts. I think his ability to mix it with the big blokes at VFL level and his ability to take contested marks (which is now a lost art) will see teams like Richmond and even Sydney or West Coast looking for a bit more fire power in the highly rated Riewoldt. If he goes it will be lat in the first, but he can possibly go high 2nd's he wont do a Swallow though.

Fact: We need Hodge to return fitter and play more in the midfield. We witnessed just how damaging he can be with long stints in the midfield during his steller 2005 season.
