i think maybe they could go for aaron edwards who kicked 100 goals for frankston in the v.f.l he would be another option besides hopefully bradshaw and brown :D

He is on a few people's wish list so may be hard to get.
I think the mature rookie system is a great idea. I would love for us to get another Roe.

Edwards had some discipline problems at West Coast did he not?

I heard that too, but so did Pikey (*edit; obviously not a WC). Not that i'm pushing for Edwards since I know nothing about him. But seems desperate to play for an AFL club and might be a nice cheap pickup

After the efforts of #12, I doubt we'll be looking to take a risk. Someone might though.

Aker is one of a kind though. Speaking of Edwards, what about Wooey...do you guys think he would be picked up by any club? Could the Lions benefit from picking him up? *Snuka braces for a blasting from fellow Lions*

Might be worth a thought if Voss retires.

Edwards has ability but is an in between type, think Medhurst. Plays very tall for his height but isn't big enough for a KPP.
Woey arrrggghhh, surely we have enough slowish midfielders?
Why go & recruit someone that would become the slowest of them all with a questionable ticker. Thats the worst of some badies Ive seen Snuka, tried not to BLAST too much. ;)
Lets look to the build a future not decimate it.

Agreed. If we picked up Woewodin i would do as BrownDog says and "eat my shoe". Has to be one of the slowest players going around. No thanks.

i wont blast you, but we are not at the "topping up" stage of the cycle.
Vossy, Johnson, Lappin (maybe), C. Scott all will be retired by the time we have a good shot at the top 4 you'd think, so Woewodin is out of our age requirements.

Miller: Yes if possible (although Aker doesnt want to goto the dees so its not!)
other 2: no way, underperforming nobodies.
Polak cant even make the team atm at freo.
Rebuilding and youth policy are overrated...Agreed Bobby that we prob couldn't pick up a slowish player. I just was taken with the idea of having a player of Woey's experience and proven qualities on minimum wage ready to replace injured players.

Yeah I know wher your coming from with the whole work ethic thing.
I still would prefer to give a kid a chance though, ie Stiller/Roe as examples.
Who would have thought we would pick up such potential due to injury?
I doubt many would even know the bare minimum of these guys at the start of 2006.
With the experience theory they may never have been given this chance.
If it cost us 1/2 wins this season by playing these types rather than an experienced number, IMO then so be it.
This can be the price of rehashing some that have had their day.
