With the off season ahead and as a way of keeping ourselves amused and to continue into season 2007 I would like to make a suggestion as has been put in place on a number of other team boards.
We create a sub board for all non footy discussions.
Anything Lions and footy related stays on the main board here but threads such as our Getting to know you...getting to feel free and easy.........damn it singing again!
I am sure you get the idea.
Good idea, bad idea?
If a good one, what do you suggest we call it?
I was thunking of something along the lines of The Den
Good idea. Stops all the other posts from being sidetracked so often. Not sure of a name though...
NO change. Why can't we leave the game evolve naturally. Too many changes. Let the game settle and develop without the interference of the law makers. Bloody hell. Leave it alone. Yes you. all of you.

Even the threads that start off as footy discussions seem to have a way of going off on tangents. Perhaps a symbol or something on the thread title would suffice - perhaps "O/T" (for off topic) or something similar. Gotta say it really doesn't bother me as it stands now.

I think it is a good idea. One or two have mentioned they would like to stick with the footy talk and I can understand that.
The thing I would do is provide the link from the Lions board so we don't get a whole lot of sticky beakers from the main board jumping in with their inanities.

i agree, having said that it wouldnt bother me if we had another board either, just dont see the need.

it will be a sub Lions board - have to come into the Lions board to get to it. The idea has been tried on other boards and seems to be working well. Not too much of a prob in the off season but when we are back in the 8 next year and doing great things on the filed etc there will be a lot of footy threads and those that only want to talk footy will have to wade through the other stuff.
I agree that some threads footy threads do wander off but they ususally come back to the topic at hand and that is all good.
The idea of the sub board is purley for chats and discussions about everything non lions etc. The same zero tolerance rules will pretty much apply, it will be our own "chat room" type thing not for all and sundry, there are plenty of other places on big footy to chat with the masses.

I think it's a great idea. In the off-season there will not be a lot of footy to talk about.

I support this. I do not think that it will stop us going of track on the main board and lets be honest some of the best and wittiest posts have occured there but a sub board is still a great idea. We have the Ashes coming up for example and that is a good place to chat about that among us Lions boys and Girls for example.
