hey guys, just noticed Aaron Shattock was delisted by port this week.
didn't think he got much of a real go at port, havent been following so dont know whether hes been injured or what.
Thought he was a pretty honest player for us at Brissy, just squeezed out in flag years and wanted to go to SA (he's from SA isnt he?).
Anyone think he'll have trouble playing AFL footy next year? There are worse players than him running around but its a fair chance...

Shatts did carry some injuries but played in the 2's when fit and did ok when he played - just couldn't get into the 22...would love to see him get another chance somewhere - his gf is from brissy, maybe he might look at aflq ?

I loved it when we had both shatts and possum on the team. The commentator's always got them mixed up tat they became the Shatting Nottock's!!
Yeah, I reckon you could do worse. At the end of 2003 he was flying -- starting in the midfield, but did his knee in the final game against the dogs. In fact, that was really where Hadley got his chance. One door opens...
By the same token, Rischa wouldn't have played anywhere near as much footy this year without Hadley's injury. I reckon we could do worse than have all three back and fit. Mature age rookie maybe?
He's better with the pill than Fixter. Quicker than Selwood and just as hard.
I caught Aaron in the very few games he played for Port. After a promising start his skill level dropped badly. In the last game I caught he skuffed a vital kick along the ground. It was an embarassing error to say the least. I suspect Aarons days at the elite level are over. He was a servicable player for us and I wish him all the best.
The thing I will remember Aaron for the most is a segmant that I caught on Qld Rules when Tim Notting was vomiting after a ride at Dreamworld or some such place and the uncontrolable laughing from Aaron. It was priceless TV.
peter walsh was good for port. should of deserved another year.

He wasn't given a fair go. Walsh didn't deserve to go either, like piro* said.

It truly was very very funny, each week they would go and do something silly, diving with the sharks at Underwater World was another good one but yes Possum vomitting and "not Tim" piddling himself laughing was hysterical!!

Having been on the Vomitron at Surfers all i can do is say - I know how he felt !!!:o
