BOG today. Absolute superstar for us today IMO. What a gun.

For mine, Ben Cousins was BOG. Jones was great (as were many others) but Cousins started the turnaround - kicked 1.1 in the third and set up three shots on goal.

Propably not BOG for me, but he was still awesome. He has been getting better all season, should get a nod for the finals, and hopefuly he can do well there as well.

definitely not BOG - thats a bit of a crazy call - but bones was brilliant and ive been a big backer of his since he first started with us - looks more athletic recently too - fanatstic player - with banners gone he will come the fore, completely personifies the classic eagles backman...
fuggen tops bones - champ... :thumbsu:

Bones is an awesome player, love watching the man play. Not quite BOG but a very good game nonetheless. I can't believe he's still seen as a fringe player, the guy is easily in our best 22.

in fairness... no nicoski almost puts bones in our best 22 automatically
i might be biased though, cos i really like bones - crucial to the future of our backline imo

no reason Nicoski and B. Jones cant play in the same side, they are different types of players.

yeah i agree, absolutely not - like i said i am a big fan of bones - but no nicoski (injury) just makes him a shoo-in... basically imo bones and nicoski are our biggest revelations in the future of our defence...
absolutely agree with your post mate

Bones was pretty good.
I think some of the praise for him is a bit overblown.
He made a couple of costly errors.
Remember how he coughed it up in the 3rd quarter when we were on the rebound. McLeod just swooped on it and banged one through.
You can't have defenders making those kind of errors. Turnovers when rebounding from defensive 50 are the single most damaging mistakes you can make.

That McLoed incident wasn't his fault IMO. It was a poor handball to him (from Selwood I think) was way too far in front on Bones who did well to get a hand to it.

But leading up to the turnover were a few dodgy one-twos between Bones and Selwood that allowed Adelaide to tighten the screws.
Sometimes you just have to bang one long down the line.

They're just following the gameplan set by Woosha. That was his main tactic in beating the Crows and it worked a treat, occasionly Adelaide's pressure was too great and caused a turnover, but if they make a mistake sticking to the gameplan, then that's fine in my books.

yeah bones was the unlucky recipient of a bad handball - they did fluff around with it however and it came unstuck - kerr was also there to make amends but it went through his legs and mcleod is a champion and he made us pay
i do agree though that a nice big kick long couldve prevented the goal, but the gameplan was being adhered to so i guess you take the good with the bad - we may not be so lucky against the swans, they know how to make you pay - i guess the moral of the story is dont stuff up... ever, which is hard to do, but thats what wins premierships i guess...

Bones had a great day, thought he played fantastic in defence and will and should play next week.
I still cant stop laughing at Hansens attempts at picking the ball up from the ground, he should just soccer the damn ball!:D

That was a **** house handball to his feet, not his fault at all

Easily top 6 players today, great composure and is very clean at what he does, hardly gives away frees which is awesome.
