1. Hunter must play forward
2. Bones must take O'Loughlin
3. O'Keefe must be shut down
4. Woosh, don't be afraid to get numbers back

P.S: I'm aware ROK wasn't that big against us last time, he just has to be shut down

Agreed on all counts.

Be committed to the team clause.

Every Player from No.1 down to No.22 MUST play to the teams rules.

We've got to be in front when the siren goes, for starters. *tense*

We need to take our chances in front of goal.

So who plays on O'Keefe?

#3 is just a little stupid I reckon. It's like when someone says "we must shut down Chris Judd" and you think, no kidding, but how?

i like chicky on o'keefe - but it does depend on who gets who...

glass on hall ?
bones on o'loughlin ?
chick on o'keefe ?

who knows what we'll throw up though, whether hunter plays forward, where goodes plays during the game, and whether wirra comes up in time to take a small schneider/buchannon type...

time will tell - i am just stoked at the chance to exact revenge of the floods

Waters on O'Keefe if he's fit. Perhaps Selwood.

Does Graham have a match up??

Does Graham have a match up??

good question... i dont know if he does

i like him in the side, but if the matchups dont go our way we could end up going in too tall...

Graham would be good for the 'lose player' in defense IF we decided to go that way(which, however, I would doubt given we haven't done it before!)

Otherwise...I don't know.

really wirrpunda is the best option for the 'loose man' role imo - we used to use him in that role a few years back, i remember him in those great wins against the big names at the time in collingwood and brisbane - he used to wax like a candle...

he isnt so great one-on-one - but his sublime skills make him a perfect choice for the '3rd man up / sweeper' role which would be good to experiment with again - if not this year then the next

graham would also be a natural selection for that role, but wirra just pips him i think

If you get a mark in front of the goal square in the 4th quarter, don't miss...

haha :o
Our conversion rate has been our biggest issue against Sydney in the past, and the fact we don't play loose players in defence.

We'll have Kerr, Embley and Hansen in, which is a big plus.

Agreed with the comments too. Main thing is we need to convert early and put pressure on Sydney to score. That would open the game up more.

1. Don't allow Hall and O'Loughin to be one out (each) in their fwd 50. Play a loose man back if need be.

2. Move the ball quick and have Lynch playing around the 50m arc more than occasionally. Very hard to take a grab in a congested inside 50. Have Lynch kick over the top of them. Hunter in the square.

3. Try to limit their run from inside our fwd 50. Easier said than done though.

4. Tag Goodes. None of this head to head nonsense with Judd. Is there anyone good enough to stop him? Stenglein? Can Embley run with?

5. Have a sniper on top of the Great Southern Stand in case Rowan Jones marks on the final siren near goal with less than a kick in it. Shoot him so someone else has to take the kick. Lynch needs to be standing close by. Real close.

If the need arises, Woosha has to do the unthinkable, and bring a spare man into defence.
