Hi,
I managed to get through and register myself for tickets on the eagles pre-booking system last week. I was just wondering if anyone knows how/when we'll get confirmation of our tickets/details of where they are?
Is everyone that registered over the phone guaranteed a ticket?
Cheers.

If you registered you have a ticket.

If you registered you have a ticket.
Not neccessarily correct. I believe they 'over-subscribed' the registration so if there are any issues with transactions not going through on credit cards, etc then they have more registrations to go to. So I understand there will be some people at the end of the registrations that will miss out.
im hanging out on wce.com for the numbers to come up!
Nothing on Ticketmaster or WCE sites yet. All I have is a receipt # I got when I registered. Pretty confusing stuff.
The Sunday Times mentioned that some members who booked flights and accommodation months ago missed out on a presold seat as they could not register in time. I really feel sorry for them, should have more tickets available. Sydney and West Coast between them will only have 25% of the seats. Who are the other 75%!

I think that AFL members and MCC members take up most of the seats.

To be honest, I don't feel too much sympathy. If you book flights and accomodation without a ticket you do so at your own peril.
yeh what the hell happens once something is posted on the site? all i have is my receipt number, i hope i get my seats
to show how desperate some people are, look on ebay. There are 2 adult seats to the grand final going at 4 grand!

Read the letter again that was sent to you as a member. It outlines the process - simple really.

I can understand your point, but living in Perth you either take a chance or pay thru the nose closer to the time.

Anyone having any luck?
I still can't find anything on either wce.com or ticketmaster.
Another ticketing fiasco?

Nothing here yet either. I got through on the phone at 10 past and the $40 was taken from my credit card at 20 past.
No email notification yet, nothing on the websites, nothing deducted from the credit card account either as yet.
Waiting...waiting

Just called the eagles, got through to someone from membership...
she said-
if you have a confirmation number you preaty much have tickets for the memberships that you registered however this is not guaranteed and you MAY miss out (she said it's unlikely though).
ticketmaster are in the process of allocating the tickets out as we sit here. she said they are behind schedule but expects it to be completed soon.
just keep checking the websites i guess.

Quick question guys, do any of you know if the Cheer squads for each side will be sitting behind the same goals as last year? I'm sitting in M33 which is where the Eagles were last year i think, so just wondering if i'll have a bunch of Eagles supporters infront of me.
now what happens? will we get an email or will it be posted on the site again?

Not sure, but in the letter it says something about being able to collect your tickets from tomorrow, I guess they may also update the site later on with seating details

When you guys registered, did it ask for any contact details? 'Cos it didn't when I registered. I assume they just use the email address listed against your membership (the one where they weekly email from the club goes). Can anyone clarify?
It said in the phone system that the firsts membership used would have its contact details used. It also says in our letter that you can just use the receipt number on the internet if you dont have email access.

Nope, contrary to what the letter said I didn't get a chance to enter any contact details so I'd imagine you're right re using same email address.
Out of curiosity, does anyone have a receipt number starting with 32XXXXX ? What time did you register?

a little worried, however it's probably just ticketmaster taking a little longer to get things done (as usual).

Just called credit card again, $165.80 was taken out at 5.30 EST.
Come on!! officially have tickets to the GF!
only thing is this means that my 2 concession tickets are in the lowest category, Standing/Restricted on the letter that the club sent out.
Anyone have any idea where these tickets might be? how badly restricted? is there even standing at the 'G anymore?

On the news tonight they said it will be full capacity around 98,000 people, should be BLOODY AWESOME!!!!!
As for standing room, going off the ticketmaster site there is standing room tickets but it doesn't mention where they are.

Standing room as at the back of the lower level at the Punt road end. It's pretty restricted. Get there real early to get the front, as the possies aren't reserved or anything.
We got prime, but won't know until I pick them up exactly where we'll be sitting.
Just curious, i dont have access to my email atm, how do we pick up our gf tickets? Do we just have to provide our confirmation/receipt number and come along with our credit card and id? thanks

Yes picked mine up two hours ago in Melbourne. They just asked for my receipt number and then my credit card, then I signed to say I'd picked them up and they checked the signature to that on my credit card.
Then had to go get some Hungry Jacks for lunch to support the sponsors
Is it Saturday yet?
Just got mine at 12.15 at Ticketmaster at Cloisters News, very long line behind me as there was only one outlet. Just have your receipt # and CC.
Go you mighty Eagles!!!!

I got ours at 12 noon, section M57. Didn't have to sign for anything, just flashed the plastic fantastic and I was on my way. Roll on Friday and Saturday.

Picked up my tickets about 2 at the outlet in cloisters. Were a few people in line.
My tickets are standing room :(
Oh well...what do you expect, our number was on the 2nd last page of sucessful registrations. At least we'll be there.
Anyone got any advice? how early to get there etc.
Also anyone know what the view is like from standing room? im sure it can't be that bad.
And where exactly is standing room? someone said earlier that it was on the lower level at the punt road end???

Well, just picked up my tickets - block M1.
How do you explain me getting allocated block M1 at 8.05am on the day of tickets becoming available and then an hour later my old man gets in M53? Who the ^@CK gets blocks like M50, N40 etc (ie the decent non-MCC/AFL member seats)?
It an absolute disgrace that the "best seats" I get allocated are right behind the goals when I would have been one of the first in line to get them. I can't believe some of our supporters get "standing room", either, with the knowledge that MCC members and AFL members, 90% of whom couldn't give a toss about either team, get the best seats in the house.
And no, I'm not interested in the "be grateful you're going" line of thinking.
