Fletcher - no more head ducking, mark inside 50 fumbles and crap disposal please
Chick - had a stinker last year, missed a sitter running into an open goal and then got pantsed by micky o
Butler - had about 2 handballs and looked lost
Seaby - backed up a great prelim final with a very average game, both rucking and up front

Butler has improved and I think he's adapted to finals pressure over the last three weeks. Good to go.

Chick (also Waters) should be more than willing to cop a decent suspension by cleaning up a few Swans.

It's very unlikely for butler to be that bad this week, has improved so much along with waters. Most improved award could possibly go to one of these two. Most courageous to waters :thumbsu:

Bah - his efforts were better than Gardiner's esp. considering Staker hadn't played anywhere near the same number of games.

Staker was alright, it was just his brain that didn't turn up.

Fletcher- Yes I have to agree there, though not only to atone for the 2005 GF, but for most of the 2006 season. some may think I'm overstating this, but I think he'll be playing for his future career at the WCE.
Chick- Don't know about the 'sitter' (i believe he was being tackled while trying to kick a goal with the outside of his boot), but yes he will be desperate to redeem himself this year. With his character, I know that he will, and I'm picking him as one of the suprise impact players of the GF.
Butler- Has improved massively. No guarantee, but his subsequent experience and performances in finals will hold him in good stead.
Seaby- I don't know how he'll go - He hasn't done a great deal in the other finals, apart from give Cox a rest every now and then. But if he suddenly has a great game and frees up Cox a bit more, that could be a key to winning. Doesn't need to be a superstar, just a solid contributor.
Selwood- I'd expect him to be much better than last year as well. He's gained a lot this year by taking on a permanent role.
Staker- Poor old Brent will sadly not receive the opportunity for redemption this year - he'll be watching on from the sidelines. A shame really, because my guess is he'll become a super player in a few years. At present though he doesn't quite have the mental maturity/stamina to mix it at that level. He finds it especially difficult against sides like Sydney, who can frustrate you into doing things rashly and giving away stupid free kicks, as witnessed last year.

Other guys who don't need to atone, but will want to make an impact will be Braun & Rojo, who missed last year, as well as Kerr, who was injured early and had a reduced impact.
