Wow how embarrassing will it be losing to the same team, 2 years running in the grannie?
WCE in with a huge chance of doing a Collingwood.
I think the WCE fans would be sh*tting their pants right about now.
Good luck to the Swans. :thumbsu:
HUUUUUUUUGE amount of pressure on the Eagles.
No excuses if they lose it this year.
The nerves will be high and will definetely be labelled the Grand Final CHOKERS.
At least they made the GF. Go Eagles:thumbsu: :)

Possibly not as embarrassing as losing to the same team 2 years running in the Prelim. I'd only be guessing though.
It doesn't surprise me that one of Gets!, RoosterLad or ICDM started a thread like this. Have a cry little bitches. Adelaide choked two years in a row :D. They'll definitely slide the next few years, their stars are too old. They could barely keep them on the park this year.
What happened boys? 22 points up, huge home crowd, week off, and then... choked.

Excited or nervous about being labelled the greatest chokers since Motlop's attempt to win the game after the siren?

And the same team getting beaten again?

I don't hate West Coast. I never have. It's supporters like UNIT, Gunnar, weagles fan, eagles chick that make me despise them with all their arrogance.
I'd still take WCE over any Victorian team. And Port.
I believe you.

The pain of losing a premliminary final is nothing compared to the pain of losing a GF.

I'm nervous.... the game is basically a coin toss, and Sydney are a great side.
Having said that, if I had to be a choker, I'd much rather be known as a Grand Final Choker than a Preliminary Final Choker - yes, we may choked, but at least we got there. ;)
Dearly hoping for revenge this time though, game will be a rip snorter! :D

Losing a GF wouldn't top the pain of losing a Prelim?
You're nuts.
Both hurt.
Losing a grand final you get a runner-up medallion, and the hunger to go one better the next season. Losing a prelim you get squat - and the desire to go one better.
Personally, I think the cards fell the right way for the AFL. Sydney win, it improves the sport's market in NSW, and they can rightly make a claim for being one of the best teams ever (or certainly in recent times). West Coast win, and they get to avenge the heartbreak suffered last season.
Plus it'd really annoy most Docker fans I know... and that'd make me smile. ;)

But losing 2 in a row to the same team.
Er and who wants a runner-up medallion? If you make the prelim you still go into the next season with the hunger, seeing you want to actually make the GF this time.
All i'm saying is that i think it would hurt alot more losing 2 GF's in a row to the same team then it would be losing 2 prelims in a row to the same team.

Spot on. The 2003 prelim lost to Brisbane is so "meh" that even watching some footage of that night doesnt do anything for me. No emotional reaction at all.
Unlike 1996 which still hurts when i watch replays.

All i'm saying is that i think it would hurt alot more losing 2 GF's in a row to the same team then it would be losing 2 prelims in a row to the same team.I'll tell you right now,it hurts a hell of a lot losing the PF twice in a row to the same team.

Much rather that than nothing... but then I've always been a materialistic person. As for being beaten by the same team. I don't think it matters all that much. For West Coast, because of last season, beating Sydney would be a little sweeter. However, the feeling of losing the match, particularly in a grand final, wouldn't be any different if it were Sydney or anyone else.
The initial feeling of loss is irrevalent to the competition. As illustrated above, it's the memory of the competition that sparks the thirst for revenge.

Heck, i'm sure it would.. but what i'm saying is that losing 2 GRANDFINALS in a row would hurt even more.At least they get to experience the pure excitement of GF week, and the thrill of watching their team run out on GF day.I would take that, even if it meant losing, rather than not making it at all.Trust me, this is coming from a supporter whose team has lost 4 out of 6 PF's.

You should be. You have no life, and your side just choked again :D
Absolutely not.
oh yeh so why your bitching like theres no tomorrow. grow the **** up. any loss hurts alright and i congratulate your team playing their guts out. in fact i thought your team was gonna beat us but no look what happened. deal with pain we had to deal with the gf. to think that sydney already has an upperhand is pure and ultimate arrogance worse than the arrogance you lot had against us in rd 17 or us in the QF. from what Ive learnt this year any final game is a 50/50 game. WCE has a chance, Sydney has a chance.
You had a chance yesterday but you blew it so if I were you stop bitching like little pussies and start demanding answers from your senior coach and his team if you didnt like how they performed yesterday. There have been some decent Crow Fans and I feel sorry for their credibility being thrown in the bin thanks to spitwads like yourselves who probably are "Nigels" and only use the internet to help them deal with their problems e.g cant bully face to face instead use a forum.
You should also take the fact that 3rd is far better than 15th or 16th. Seriously I'd rather stuff up in a GF than stuff up in a PF so I really dont care what happens this weekend as long as we just get the win but that aint gonna come easy however some arrogant swan fans already think theyve got it in the bag. Yes we have some WCE fans who are arrogant but Ive noticed some Swan fans already have said we are runners up. Hasnt it come to their freaking mind the games have been extremely close and we've never been at full strength. Well guess what Swan fans/bandwagoners this Saturday we will have our Best 22 for the first time against your lot since Rd 2 2005 so now it will be a fair battle and do not be surprised IF and I Say IF WCE Win.

Whether WCE win or not I will be here.
Why does everyone think you need balls to come and 'get what's coming' when you make outlandish statements.
If you think something like that takes balls...then you are a pansie.
Icandressmyself you were wrong!
