2002: 3rd & beaten by Collingwood in the prelim
2003: 6th & beaten by Essendon in the semi
They both sound better than 12th, actually losing to Collingwood doesn't.

Actually, Adelaide won the first showdown and Port the last in 2004. I know you're all still trying to erase that season from conciousness but at least put more effort into your research.

My guess is that outback jack has resurfaced again in the form of a port supporters

Lets see.A home final with the loudest crowd ever possibly.Next, 1 weeks rest, with the eagles coming from subiaco after a tough match against the doggies (i know its 70 points, but the dogs run and carry game can take a lot away from you).Eagles were missing wirrapanda and nicoski and a half fit kerr, just as you were missing roo and henstchell.You were up by 22 points by halftime in a low scoring match and kicking with the breeze in 3 quarter, should have extended the lead, but you choked and the lead was down to 7 points before the final quarter.In the last quarter eagles took the lead for the first time as they looked the fresher of the two sides, when the crows were coming off a weeks break.Enough reasons to suggest it was a choke.

Hmm perennial losers hey, well considering we have been in the AFL 10 saeasons, have played finals 6 times, won a premiership, would suggest that we win more often than we lose, so to would our win-loss ratio against the crows.
