...How many goals did he kick on the weekend? Because I originally thought 5, than CH10 showed 4, than some papers showed 5 while the total goals by every player added up was 18 instead of 17 (know what i mean).

So how many did he score?

The only place I've seen that he got 5 was here.

I've been waiting to test out posting a pic - this seemed as good a time as any. Hope it works! Thanks jod ;)

This must have been published whilst I was away,

http://westcoasteagles.com.au/default.asp?pg=featurestories&spg=display&articleid=15526

The last few paragraphs are SO spot on, a few us were saying the same last season.

He also finds that playing full-forward is a difficult proposition, particularly in a team struggling to create opportunities.

“It’s hard being a full-forward,” he said. “You’re a hero one week when you kick five or six goals and the next week, when you kick no goals, people come up and say ‘what happened.’

“Quite often nothing happened, the footy has to be kicked to your advantage and a lot of people don’t understand that.

“You can’t be sitting on a bloke’s shoulders every week. You watch Lloyd on a Friday night, leading out of the square and marking on his chest. I’d love that. Sometimes I get it delivered like that, but not as often as he does.”

Regardless of the service, Wilson’s story was a remarkable one and hopfully there are another couple of chapters still to be penned

The Herald-Sun said he kicked 5 goals, which is what finally confused me. Maybe people are having trouble telling Wilson and Tuckey apart (since Tuckey is knew and of similar build)??

I believe it was 4. I have not seen any scorecards that show him with 5 that add up to our correct goal tally (17).

On another TW related note...I think the man needs a better nickname (Willo has already been used for Peter Wilson). I have heard multiple casual suggestions thus far:

Cannonball
The Freight Train
The T-Train (thank you, Thegur :))
TTT (Ten Tonne Troy)
Helen ("...of Troy", I'm hoping that means!)

Any thoughts or additions?

5 . They wrongly allocated 4 to BB and 2 to Haynes when BB kicked 5 and Haynes 1

Yeah I thought something funny went on, thankfully some people are on the ball. I watched the game and my mum came in and asked me how we were going and I gave her a run down, including the goalkickers. The when Wilson was lining up for a goal they said he was going for his 3rd or something when I already thought he had kicked 3. Oh well at least thats cleared up then.

On the TV I thought they consistently underscored him by one. So I thought it was 5, but they said 4 (usually I'm wrong on that sort of thing).

Troy Wilson and a baseball bat v Rob Sitch? Oh yes PLEASE! :D:D:D

Seriously though, panel beaters take dents out, Troy puts em in, so that doesn't really work :)

Hmm, this is proving to be pretty difficult. You'd think a professional club like West Coast would have thought this all through before deciding to draft him...

But then again, maybe that's why we didn't draft Graham Johncock :D

2 more that sprung to mind:

T-Rex
Tugga (Although Steve Waugh has probably copyrighted this one)

The old WCE website listed his nicknames in the profile section, but the new site doesn't have that sort of information. I can't remember what it was (I think there were 2 actually), but it would have been an ok idea to use the nicknames he has had in the past.

I tend to refer to him as 'Big Troy' when I'm talking about him. ;)
