I will take a stab and say Brad Johnson, as much as Scott West wins plenty of the ball its always Brad Johnson who has that happy knack of being in the right place at the right time and finishing off what sometimes seems to be the impossible.

74 goals from a small forward as well is just unbelievable.

He has kind of sucked at getting votes in the past but I think he will do a lot better this year.

He gets my vote too. I'd like to see him win.. (after our boys of course)

The problem I have with the Brownlow is that there is not enough respect for key position players. We've had three big men win it in the last 20 years. That does not reflect the value of kpps to a team.

Mcleod is my smokey pick. Goodwin as well. Goodes should win though. West or Johnson would be a great story but I dont think either will win.

The real question is-who was the "hottest" chick? Does anyone care who wins the medal these days?

Congrats Adam. Great polling by Lade and Shaun and especially Pearce!! Could be one to look out for in the future.

Yes well done to the three of them.

Danyle Pearce getting three best on grounds in a row was a fantastic effort and it really outlined why he won the Rising Star award - top 10 in the Brownlow.

Just comparing him to some of the other nominated players for the award.

Danyle Pearce 13 Brownlow Votes
Heath Shaw (Collingwood) 6
Andrew Raines (Richmond) 3

Was it ever a contest? Perhaps the VICS are just tired of not being able to win anything.

Apart from Nathan Buckley sharing the award back in 2003 there hasn't been a winner from a Victorian Club since 2000 when Shane Woewodin won the award.

It must be hurting, do we perhaps let them win the sprint? Thats probably all that is left.
