Well done to Browny for finishing with the most votes for Brisbane. :thumbsu: 13 votes in his 10 games to finish in the top 10. Imagine if he played the other 12 games :o .

13 votes in 10 games, not bad for a bow legged dud.

Voss also picked up more votes than Buckley and Hird, even though out of the three, it was the most "past it".

Glad Voss got 2 votes vs St Kilda in round 22, he was absolutely inspirational that night.

7 votes for Vossy all up, cmon Vossy, one more year.

Yes and the 3 for the Roos game when he won the game for us with his last 1/4 brilliance. I hope for one more inspirational TBD but..........:( I am worried.

Interestingly, if you award the medal on a votes/game basis, he pips Goodes(1.18) for the medal with 1.3. The difference is they've managed to get Goodes on the park for 22 rounds and two finals. They've done the same with Hall.

Makes a difference.

First pic of our next Brownlow medalist, Norm Smith Medalist, 4-time premiership captain, team of the century inductee, AFLPA most valuable player, and wearer of the #3 jumper:

Did anyone else think he had the steely glare of a Voss? Or maybe that was because he was confused with Quartermain. He had also injured his wrist (another typical Voss trait).

Excellent prospect, although may need to work on his disposal plus work on body strength. ;)

I hope he isn't our next Brownlow Medallist though - that would mean another 15-20 year wait until our next one. Argh!

No, i meant the combination. Our next premiership captain will be Browny - our next 4-time premiership captain will be C. Voss.

Ahh I catch your drift now. In the last quarter of the 2026 Grand Final C Voss will kick the ball to S Brown, who marks and goals after the siren, making Brisbane Lions the only team to win 4 premierships in a row since Collingwood in early 20th Century.

It looked a bit like a "stop treating me like an imbecile" look to me.

But dont forget if wasnt for Tom Lynch kicking 19 goals (and surpassing 2000 career goals) we'd have never been in it.

Aye, our defense sucked big time. Just imagine what difference it would have made had David Leppitsch, Albert Michael, Tim Johnson and Daniel Scott been able to come to the Lions via the father/son rule. Collingwood made the cut off 300 games, meaning none of these sons of champions could represent their fathers' club.

Why not? Even though they tend not to be as hard at it compared to the boys, and can't kick (kick well....for girls)*, their ability to charm the umpires into giving them freekicks is worth it.

*No disrespect to the girls. :D
