Dont know how many of you have seen this on the main AFL board, but apparently our membership pickup line is:

West Coast: "We'd like you to be a part of our team in 2002"

Who the hell would join up after reading that? :eek: :confused: For people who are trained professionals, my 10 year old brother could come up with something better than that!

Add this to the horrible jumpers and we have a totally inept marketing department.

They're flat out sponsoring the Channel 7 News and getting SGIO involved in sponsorship ads, plus advertising for members.

They are active but are they active in the ways the members want. eg. what about the techocolour jumper ?.

Slogans are something Marketing Departments try on school kids, like the jumper. They should do market research in a pub on a Friday night, that would produce some interesting results.

Geez I hope they don't think I did a Marketing degree for my own amusement...(yes, I got a degree just to get employed by my favourite football club! That's my story and I'm sticking to it until I have the job ;))
