I think it'll be West Coast, but I thought that last year too. If the weather's fine, I think their pace will really test Sydney's ability to shut them down.

Thoughts?

I thought the same last year as well but once again I have selected West Coast.

Also they did me a big favor last weekend.

Sydney by 36 Points

I refuse to believe a side can win a flag with a forward line like WC's

I'm not prepared to put my money where my mouth is but I think Sydney will win it again. On what I've seen they're playing better football now than at the same time last year. I think they can shut down the Eagles midfield for long enough while getting a score themselves. Will be a cracking game. I'm looking forward to watching it. I hope our guys learn a lot from watching Sydney's methods in going in hard and working the ball out of contested situations to a guy with time to run or kick to advantage.

I can't pick a winner at the moment - pre game it's as close as last year - but I don't think the odds are with another close game - maybe Sydney by 19 - they might just stick to their proven game plan long enough whereas the WCE style is very taxing and to travel twice and do it again is a big ask.

I'm tipping a draw. Given that the last 4 games have produced results of 4pts, 4pts, 2 pts and 1 pt, a draw is on the cards. And if you like series/sequences, 1948 and 1977 was the last 2 drawn GFs.

It will make the AFL look greedy and stupid and finally get them to scrap the GF replay. Maybe 55,000 might turn up for the replay? If they do have a draw, the MCC members, the AFL members, corporate tickets, the 1,000 tickets allocated to the other 14 clubs and other special interest groups should not be allowed to buy tickets until say Thursday morning after all 44,000 Eagles + 30,000 Swans members have had a crack at getting tickets.

West Coast running brigade will be slightly too strong for Sydney imo, so it's the weagles by 6 points. However since Sydney have had the extra day rest it wouldn't surprise me if the Swans outran the weagles in the last five-ten minutes of the game & won it by 2 goals or less.
