View Full Version : Melbourne Bigfooty Player of the Year
This is just an early reminder to my fellow Demon worshippers that I will be running another Player of the Year Award Competition. For those that are new, for each round, you simply have to give your 3,2,1 for your thoughts on who was best for Melbourne, and at the end of the year we will see how we compare with the B&F.
Now a few changes for this year.
We MUST have the same number of people voting each week. Eg: If we have 10 people voting in Round 1, that is how many we will have for the 22 rounds.
If you cannot see the game, get one of your friends to give their votes. If not, I will use the paper's votes to make up the numbers.
Finally, please try to avoid bias. Don't give your favourite a vote because he looked as though he tried real hard, or kicked a great goal but did jack **** for the rest of the game. We should make it a true reflection on the game.

But can't I vote for when players "try"?? lol you know, try to be good, try to get off the bench, try not to be a pretty boy, try to take a huge mark and fail... hehe j/k I'll vote properly :D :D
I'll be in it Dees 01. Hope we can find 3 decent players though, because after Johnno I wouldn't have any idea from fridays game.

Yes, and if I remember rightly, we did struggle in a few games late last year as well!:(

Anyways well you know I'm in... and of course I'll vote each week... you don't see me getting a life anytime soon now do you? :o

Well if you see ALL Melbourne's games and VOTE for 22 rounds, then yes.

I would have given White and Biz a definate mention in the votes after Johnno.
Oh yeah, and count my ass in on that as well. Yes, I will be here each week and will vote every round.
Do you reckon we could do a tip thingy, where we predict who we think will win it etc and see how we do come the end of the year?? Just a thought.

I'm not so sure about the Gerg award personally. If a player is shirking it then he'll get a serve. But I don't think dedicating an award to crapness is a great idea. Don't you guys subscribe to the old Cheer Squad adage of don't bag your own players?

the cheersquad bag the players more. geez have u heard them lately. Johnno gets it all the time as well as anyone who is having an off day at the time.
