My CEO, with his heart in the right place, went to a Grand Final breakfast this morning and started bidding on something that he thought he could use as a large apple to help me achieve my sales goals for the rest of the year (I'm sales manager).

Turns up to work at 11:00am smiling like a chesire cat to reveal he bought a framed Aka guernsey complete with photos and personalised card to myself to give to me if I can get the company to make budget by end of year. The plan backfired big time: I don't want it and the rest of the company is not going to pull their weight with that on the line!

Answer: He's put the framed guernsey in the board room for all to see and won't have it taken down till we make the quarter budget and now the whole office is trying to make the 3-month budget in one week! He's a great motivator my boss! :D

I'm not sure on the names, only know what the 13yo came out of his room mumbling - he might not have been accurate. My heads full of other fellas tonight as I get ready to go head off to worship the fab 5 of the 80's new romantic music era at DuranCon 2006.

Friday September 29, 08:01 PM Couple alleges attack by AFL players

A Melbourne couple alleges they were set upon by a group of St Kilda and Brisbane Lions AFL players in a hotel fracas.
Sporting a blackened eye and a cut on his left cheek, Jarrod Rouse claims he was attacked by several players after one of them made a suggestive remark to his girlfriend Jaclyn Cameron.

Saints full-forward Fraser Gehrig and Brisbane Lions champion Michael Voss were among the present and past players named as allegedly being involved in the fracas, at the Prince of Wales hotel in inner-city St Kilda.

Met John and Nick at the Underground in Brisbane at an after-concert party the first time they toured which was also the night of my 18th birthday; went and saw them the following time but missed the last-the astronaut tour - didn't even know they had such things as DuranCon 2006; how was it ? :)

OMG you met my HUSBAND (well so I keep telling my son he could have been :D ), the Bass God John Taylor!!??!! LOL I'm so jealous!!! But thanks, the night was great - I didn't go to the fair/swap meet and dinner that were on yesterday - but off to the family picnic in the park today. DuranCon06 is the first annual event for Australia, planning already underway for next year too apparently. Band management and their PA also sent over a whole lot of goodies to be given away and stuff like that.

I however did meet Spandau when they were here in 86.

Methinks that was the case. Might have actually gone to the $2 shop? :D
