What do you know? It's Marc Murphy. Good for the kid to get some recognition, let's just hope he can improve on it next season. :thumbsu:

Well done Murph on a great (albeit rather short) year :thumbsu:

Look forward to him leading our midfield for another 12+ years.

Can't wait to see him back on the park for round 1, 2007.

I hope I'm not being OTT here (as I've had about 10 pints, not pots tonight watching the south dragosn go down to the sydney queens in the NBL)
but Marc Murphy is the best thing to happen to the Carlton football club since the 2001 finals series.
We are so lucky to have such an young man with incredible talent as well as being a terrific and mature young leader as well.
It will only be a question of when, not if, Marc Murphy will be captain of Carlton one day.

Entirely agree with you there CP. Marc Murphy is a bona fide gun and will soon be one of the most important players in our side. Couple him with Gibbs, Walker and Simpson, and with some time, that is DEFINITELY NOT a wooden spoon midfield combo.

Well done Murph, great kid, champion youngster and we all look forward to him in the Navy Blue next year:):thumbsu:

Yes I agree mate.
Some silly people reckon Carlton fans have nothing to look foward to, but u know what ?
I am looking foward to seeing mroe how Murphy and Josh Kennedy develop as players next year more then anything else.
Forget the bloody inboard politics or the fact that we've got a huge debt, the fact we have such young gems on our list is focus for positive in the future.
Marc Murphy has exceeded all expectations, and the scary thing is, I reckon even Josh Kennedy has as much, if not more untapped potential as Murph.
If we had picks no 1 and 2 in last year's draft, I would say without any bias or hesitation that I would select Murphy and Josh Kennedy.
They are the future of the club and I refuse to see the gloom like everyone else.
I am so proud of the history and heritage of the Carlton football club, in many respects the Blues are like another major sporting passion of mine, the Boston Celtics, the most successful club in Professional Basketball history, who have gone through some dark and tragic times (esp the death of Reggie Lewis) but have a bright future with young guns (although the fans are divided 50-50 on the coach as well)
Clubs with as much history and heritage like the Blues and Celtics will never die, we just have to work harder to match the achievements of the legends who walked before them.

Good on him:) .

Just goes to show how much the other players rate him:)

The kid is a gun on and off the field and should be an example to some of his older teammates as to how you should prepare your body and mind to give yourself the best chance to succeed in the AFL:thumbsu:

This bloke is a must keep and is by far our best hope going forward no matter who we get in upcoming drafts.

I expect him to be a future club captain who we will talk about as being one of the best we have ever had:thumbsu: .
