Congratulations on a great Grand Final, you were unlucky at the end, but thanks to Sydney and West Coast for a fantastic GF. It's natural to feel a little disappointed but you should feel proud of how they played today.

It was a GREAT grand final, so bloody close!! I'm disappointed that we lost but we'll come back...our younger players have been exposed to pressure games, we have a few promising youngsters to come through, who knows...we may even get back there next year!!
Was about to say hard luck, but that would detract from a classic game.
Commiserations - we know precisely how you feel. Maybe we can have the decider next year. :thumbsu:

Losing by one point in Grand Final and close to make it back to back is painful. It's gotta be worse than losing by 4 points right?? :) However, it was bad luck. Swans were pretty awful... if we did play the way we usually play, i wonder how it would pan out. Anyways, forget about the ifs and buts...
Congratulations. The rivarly between us and WCE are painful but sweet. I hope we can do it all next year but i hope it'll go our way! :D

Commiserations Swans - that was a very, very gutsy fightback. I have immense respect for your team, as I know the Eagles do as well. The comments Roos made after the game were all class.
I thought we were almost home at half time, but you guys came at us hard in the second half as you always do. Goodes is an absolute champion, he lifted amazingly in the last quarter and almost won the game for you.
It is an amazing rivalry between our sides and has produced two of the best GF's I can remember seeing. I am just glad we managed to win one of them :-)
All the best next year, just no more close games please - the heart cant take it anymore!

Bad luck Swans was a great game and you should be proud of your team, they really fought back and came very close to snatching the win.
What a great dual between our two clubs :D Look forward to meeting you again in 2007!

Thanks to both clubs for putting on a dramatic final. Footy was the ultimate winner, with over 200 million watching world LIVE!
Believe you me sydney I KNOW how you feel! it aint easy. You develop as thick skin as a pie fan.

I have lived in Sydney for so long that they are almost equal with the Blues in my heart, so it is hard to take.
They are a great team though, so there is no doubt they will be well up there again next year. :thumbsu:
