the guy has really impressed me. Deprieved of opportunities at collingwood, surely he would would want a move away from the club with fraser securing the number 1 spot and collingwood supposedly after another ruckman. I dont think we can risk going in with deluca/bryan/mclaren or play a first year ruckmen. Does anyone know if he is out of contract or if you would want him.

Also, just another thought. personally i would think that it would be a waste picking up a ruckmen before the 4th or 5th round. currently in the afl the best few ruckmen in my opinion are lade (sanfl) cox (rookie draft) and sandilands (not really sure, but know he wasnt a high pick). i know white, fraser, and gardiner were number 1 picks, but when i look at those guys there not even in the same league. in stead of picking up midfielders (smith and jackson), we should just look at trying to fluke a guy who can become like cox.

I was interested in Richards last year. This year, however, he seems to have gone backwards and I would definitely prefer if we didn't enquire about him. IMO we should be going after Laycock, Paul Johnson, Mark Jamar or even Andrew Ericksen. If we can get a pick high enough for Leuenberger, we should draft him, NOT with the number 1 pick. Tippett could go anywhere, and may not be around by the time our 2nd pick comes around, and I think he is more of a tall forward anyway. Renouf I would use a pick in the 20's if we get one for Thornton. Would be goot to take him at 19, but if there are other better kids available take them. Jacobs is worth a later pick. Next years draft is apparently a really good one for ruckmen, so I would be happy to wait another year, whether or not we get a ruckman this year will not hinder our premiership chances this year :p

Laycock should be our number 1 priority-would be great if we could get him through the PSD.

He had a lot of injuries problems this year. It's well known that bigger players take longer to develop, I'm not sure how old Richards is but I'd guess he around 24,25?? He has potential and should improve with full fitness

Would be interested, but not sure the Saints would be keen to trade him. Not sure what his contract status is though.

Hasn't done enough, played one good game but that's it. If he were good enough, you would have thought he'd break into the Saints side given their lack of decent rucks.

I reckon we take a dip at Rix... raw but built and the saints may move on him especially is project brooks is retained
