Those are more of a novelty really
Fevola's All Australian selection, and Coleman medal are the real achievements, and only by an indivdual, though the Coleman means a lot, a sensational player.
Though the rest are pretty irelavant.
How about Simpsons form as well? Even though he didn't win an award for it.

Go the Mosquito Fleet!!!!!!!
Despite our lowly finish, there were lots and lots of positives
1. Fev. Superstar status confirmed. Imagine this guy with a dominant midfield
2. Marc Murphy. Elite top-shelf talent. Serious gun midfielder and future captain
3. Andrew Walker. Nice progress. Massive upside. Beginning to show leadership potential
4. Simpson. Fantastic year. Heavy tag by Swans in the last game, was recognition of just how damaging Simmo can be. Sensational pace and deadly left foot
5. Setanta. Future star. Absolutely no doubt. A 6’7” freak athlete with attitude. Massive progress this year. Bigger and faster than all opposition forwards. Loves taking on the opposition, prefers the high risk high return option
6. Bower. Only played a few games, but this guy will be extremely good. Tall, very fast, with excellent skills. Impressive intensity
7. Eddie Betts. Nice progress this year. Pinch hitting roles in the midfield were surprisingly effective. The master of the freak goal
8. Kennedy. Lots and lots of injuries, but showed glimpses. Pack busting CHF. Will be huge next year
:)

Really looking forward to seeing both of these boys play next year. :thumbsu:

Not when you are on the bottom of the ladder 2 years in a row, we need something to hold on to.;)

Simpson was great this year and he could be in our top 2-3 next year but the one thing that did worry me a little was that game against the Swans when he was tagged and was made to look second rate. i just hope he had a poor game and it didn't have much to do with being tagged.

Totally agree. Nice summation:)
I'd add Big Red as well. He had great season, especially the first half.
Scotland also had a very good year after a so so one last season.
The news that Princes Park will be upgraded is also fantastic:thumbsu:.
I know a number of other Vic clubs are getting their facilties upgraded as well, but it is still good news.
I can still remember Pagan being shocked at how archaic our gym was and that was from someone coming from the Kangas:D

It's not overly that brilliant...
No doubt Murphy will be a star and would've won the rising star this year by a mile had he not been injured. I mean it's a good thing to win, and shows good signs, nothing to rave on about..
Hope he is injury free next year

Being voted best first year player by your peers after playing only half a season isn't brilliant...come on:D

don't worry he'll "be home in two years" right? that article in the paper with adelaide lamenting gibbs heading to victoria was funny, see fellow blues fans, even finals contenders like to have a whinge
