View Full Version : HELP - I will luv anyone who can identify this song
I need title and who sings (or even better wrote) this song.
The only line I can think of goes
"...at laaaaast, our loooove has come alonnnnng"
Now, I've recently heard it on a commercial for the new series of a TV show (possibly Ed????), and just heard it again on Marry Me.
Its driving me nuts - what is it???????????????? I'm guessing its a Jazz piece - its the type of thing Nina Simone or the like would sing.
Any takers?

If it's the song i'm thinking about, i'm pretty sure it is sung by a woman called Etta Jones.

'At last
my love has come along
my lonely days over
and life is like a song
At last
the skies above are blue
well my heart was wrapped up in clover
the night I looked at you
I found a dream
that I could speak to
a dream that I could call my own
I found a thrill
to press my cheek to
a thrill that I have never known
well
You smile
you smile
oh and then the spell was cast
and here we are in heaven
for you are mine at last
I found a dream
that I could speak to
a dream that I
could call my own
I found a thrill
to press my cheek to
a thrill that I have never known
well
You smile
you smile
oh and then the spell was cast
and here we are in heaven
for you are mine at last
ooo yea
you are mine
you are mine
at last
at last
at last
at last'
Think you may have been very close Mr. Blonde. Etta James is who I think you may be after Sly. Cant help you with the composer though.

I wanna knooowwww if you'll be my girl.
Who sings that?
Its off Dirty Dancing and i heard that idiot DJ Otiz new version of it on the radio today. Good song though, the original.

Maybe, but what if your revenge comes the same day that you've loaned out your digital video camera? ;)

Then we use the old video camera! :) No, the quality of revenge comes out much better in digital.

ok, here's my request for a song title. there was this Magnum ice-cream ad on tv over summer, where this guy was in a car park leaning against his car, and this girl walks over and takes a bite, wipes her mouth, appears to excuse herself with a coy smile and a blink of her eyes, then walks off. i think she is a teacher because i seem to recall some school students waiting for her, but i could be wrong.
the only line of the song they play is:
"Am I wrong to hunger ..."
I could be off with the words, it's been awhile, the only word that really sticks in my mind is hunger. it's some dance / techno song I think.
any good sites for lyrics? most I've seen are nowhere near comprehensive, or they cater just to specific genres.
