Well this is the state of affairs re Jason and Cameron.

1. Cameron - met with Miller last week, they waited until his mum and dad were over-seas as they do not want them involved.

2. Jason - couple of meetings with St Kilda is about it at this stage. He has beaten Hamill when-ever he has played on him and given the esteem they hold Hamill in I guess that is why they are interested.

No comment on what they will offer but 3rd or 4th round pick would be my guess (at best), as they may take them via the PSD.

who ever takes either one is destined for failure!

Why are we talking to Cameron Cloke? That really ****es me. While Jason is not skillful Cameron is ten times worse! Why do we need him?

Richmond think he can play if he loses the attitude and works hard (like asking him to have a personality transplant).

With his shoulders it is hard to see him making a go of it. It was only a meeting and may not go any further. I imagine they see him as a tall option out of the goal square so Richo can float around the forward line.

terry needs defenders urgently.

i believe he'll take just about anyone if they aren't going for much.

Are you trying to suggest the Tigers would try and do a deal with a player without having that players manager involved? Seems a little far fetched to me.

Given the right deal I wouldn't mind one of them at Brisbane next year. We have lost alot of players with some size about them over the last two years especially down back.

Please Jason and Cameron aren't as bad as bigfooty hysteria would have you believe. They are battlers, not duds. They are also pretty young. It is just all the hype over Jasons great debut season and the (relatively low) media exposure they got when the 3 of them joined the club.

3rd or 4th round pick at best I agree. They aren't "dud" material though. If we can't find trades for them, we will keep them, unless Jason Cloke wants to move on.

David Cloke is a rent-a-quote and would spill the information too easily.

I could believe that Richmond might want Jason, as a tall defender, and the Saints might want Cameron as a ruckman, but why woukd the Saints want another 3rd-tall-defender and Richmond another back-up pseudo-ruckman? It doesn't make sense.

Jason Cloke is a good, 6 out of 10 defender. Would easily be in most sides back half...will definately end up at the Saints.

Yeah, we orginally had Roe on our rookie list. Great, now we will have to pay for a high draft pick. Good one Collingwood.

I would love to have him. I reckon he has a great size about him and would be a great replacement for Presti and/or Wakes. Pity he didn't show anything when he was at the pies and bloomed late.

I dont think Richmond would want/need Jason Cloke as i think we want our 3rd tall defender to be more of an attacking player, thats why we sacked Kellaway. On Cameron Cloke, im not sure why we would want him or where we plan on playing him, but the rumours seem to be strong that he will be heading to Punt Road.

No dealing would have been done, just talking rough terms, guaging a level of interest. If they can convince him to go to Richmond then it reduces the bargaining power of the manager and club, makes it a lot easier to get the deal done.

I can see why we'd be interested in Cameron, could be a replacement for Stafford as a tall forward and part time backup ruck who is ready to play now. Jason doesn't really fit what we're building.
